I grew in Ethiopia, where a lot of people are struggling to get by everyday and also
Child marriage is practiced. I had a childhood friend that married at young age and also had baby at a young age. When we attend high school and our second or third year she got married before the age of the 17.For example, when she got pregnant she couldn’t jump rope with me and the other girls she was always tired and in pain. Marriage is what unites two people because they choose to be together and be committed to each other. All over the world people take part in child marriage.

In many countries child marriage is a tradition. Children are married off just because their parents, grand-parents and people before them have done it. Some girls may marry because they want to and follow the tradition, but most are forced into a marriage they do not agree with simply because it 's a tradition. Many countries take part in child marriage. For example in Ethiopia my home country it is tradition to marry children off at young age, like my grandmother. She was married off around the age of nine even though she did not want. She did not even understand the meaning of marriage and the duty that comes with it. In my research I found that many off the family would love to keep their daughters and send them off to school, but they cannot because they do not have the money to help them.
