Child abuse is a situation where parent is not fully giving their child the care that they need. It is also classified as parents who mistreat their children emotionally, sexually, or physically (Watkins, 2009). The impact that child abuse has on a child is mainly physical, behavioral or in psychological nature. It is very hard to separate any of the three impacts. Any abused child will develop psychological problems, end up with some physical injuries or even adapt some unappealing behaviors. This research paper focuses and provides an overview of child abuse, its causes, its effect on the child, and the measures that should be put in place to avoid it. What are the major causes of child abuse? How can we avoid them?
2. Can the government and the society help in eliminating this inhuman vice?
3. Do we have the child rights that protect them against child abuse?
The research paper will explore these hypothesis questions and the solutions that need to be put in place to protect at risk children. Some questionnaires and an interview questions will be used to carry out the research and the data will be analyzed on both the qualitative and quantitative basis.
Major forms of Child abuse
There are many forms of child abuse with varying severity and effect. These impacts depend on the parties involved and the nature of the abuse. They include:

Sexual assault is the most common form of child abuse. The child (mostly the destitute and the orphans) are the major victims of this vice. Most of the time, the guardian abuses their privilege and takes the opportunity to exploit the child because the child has no other option than to obey to their requests.
