Chapter 7 Everyday many events occur some small others big, although there are the few that leave a mark in history. Interviewing my mother she brought up major events that occurred in her life that I knew nothing about especially the ones of when she was a kid growing up. My mother also brought up many events that were going on long before her time that were her big moments in history. My oldest cousin has always been a fanatic when it came to politics and led him to becoming today’s city councilmen of San Luis, Arizona! His love for politics eventually got me interested to look up the most famous presidents I had growing up which had me come upon Bill Clinton. Another event I was looking into was changes in technology this past generation and how far we have truly come. A major event that my grandmother and I both remember is one of the biggest changes I had to face which was moving so far and leaving all I knew behind. It was in 1996 that he won the reelection for a second term in office defeating his opponent Bob dole by a landslide (Gale). Unfortunately first coming into his campaign for office he was set on bad terms with allegations of Bill Clinton having relations with women other than his wife. Later on this followed him with the second term as investigations began to take place of him having an affair with the intern of the White House, Monica Lewinsky (Gale). In turn this made Bill Clinton the second president in U.S history to face an impeachment hearing by the senate (Gale). Thankfully he was acquitted from all charges and was able to make a public apology to the American people
