From a biblical worldview sexuality is way for two individuals to bond with each other as well as show commitment and trust between the couple, sexuality is part of being human. Sexuality is not meant to be only good for procreations between couples it is also about being open and comfortable enough to give oneself to another, sex is an intimate act and it requires trust among each individual. Rosenau (2002) states that “spouses who frequently play together sexually stay together in warm, bonded ways and keep at bay many of the dragons that can haunt intimate companionship” (p.5). There are a lot of temptation in this world and sex can be a way for couples to stay connected so that they are least likely to act upon the various temptation they may face in a day. I also did not bother to ask more questions about sexuality from a biblical worldview. Church attendance was inconsistent therefore I was not provided the information from the church either. Sex is heavily discussed in schools epically during my high school years. During high school sexuality amongst peers was heavily discusses as they bragged about all the people they had relations with as it was an accomplishment. I did take health my sophomore year and male and female biological perspectives where discussed but nothing that mentioned the spiritual and emotional aspect of sexuality. I did have a positive body self-image but did not quite understand and value sexuality as God intended. The church I currently attend did a series on Great Sex, Great Marriage about a year ago, and I enjoyed the sermons and thought how this information needs to be shared.
