The hardest part of life can be trying to survive or stay alive. The band U2 writes about surviving in their song, “Walk On.” U2’s music is a mix of Rock music, Alternative Rock, and Post-punk. Even though life can be hard, no matter who you are, you can overcome all obstacles that come your way. The band U2 and other artists in their genre have had a lot of creativity and free time to write and create their music we hear today.
Paul David Hewson, one of the members in the band U2 (known as Bono), was born in Dublin, Republic of Ireland. Bono was born on May 10, 1960 and is now 57 years old. He joined the band when he was still in high school in October of 1976 and he was made the lead member of the group. An interesting fact about Bono is that he has been married since 1982, and he has four children: 2 daughters and 2 sons.
No matter what you’re going through and the obstacles that come your way, you can overcome and defeat them. In their song “Walk On” they say, “[...] be strong, walk on” (Walk On). In the song “I will Survive” by Diana Ross, the lyrics say “[...] I know I’ll stay alive.” and “I’ll survive, I will survive” (I Will Survive). The lyrics say that the singer, Diana Ross, will survive as long as she knows how to love and take care of herself. The song “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor has the lyrics, “Went the distance, now I’m back on my feet.” and “Just a man and his will to survive” (Eye of the Tiger).
