Recommended: Effects of atenolol on blood pressure

Drug Effects A friend of mine is taking Atenolol for high blood pressure. She didn’t experience any adverse effects, which she is tankfull for. She did however experience the therapeutic effect of the medication, which was the reason it was prescribed. The medication is keeping her blood pressure in normal ranges. The medication has impacted her life enormously. She states that she was unable to function normally and felt physically ill. She was often light headed and nauseated, and her energy levels were low. Now she feels like a new person as she states. She has energy to play with her children and to garden weather permiting. Therapeutic effects of Atenolol are: • Decreased BP and heart rate. • Decreased frequency of attacks of angina pectoris.
