"The government is much too large, and is taking a gross advantage of it's power. The internet, just as the country, began on the idea of freedom of speech and the freedom to express it. The people of America came here initially to take advantage of this freedom, and now we see that the government is trying to take this away. The regulation and monitoring of the internet is taking away a crucial liberty which we were promised. Net neutrality is something that many people take for granted on a daily basis, but we should not be suppressed because the government doesn't like what we are saying.

Though we may not like what some people say online, we cannot take away their right to say it. We saw an abuse of this power after the Charlottesville terrorist attack. Tech firms removed the far-right groups from the internet, essentially stripping them of their cardinal rights. The schools and libraries are censoring what they view as obscene or harmful. The first issue which arises with this is the subjectivity of that statement. There is no cut out rules of what that means, meaning schools can ban all WWII information because they deem it harmful. Children in schools may be deprived of information because the school feels it is inappropriate. Instead of censoring what children see, they should be teaching them about what they might be seeing. Instead of banning Nazi searches, explain what Nazis are and why they're bad. This educated children and gives them a sense of responsibility. Schools and other public locations should not be allowed to censor the internet, because not only is it infringing on the population's rights, but it is also preventing people from learning because the establishment where the computer is feels the topic is
