The world today revolves around technology and entertainment. Video games are becoming more realistic and violent which is causing changes in kids behaviors. I believe that violent video games would cause a change in kids behavior and make them more violent. With all the fighting, killing, blood and gore it makes them think its ok to do it or act a certain way. In an article about video game violence impact it quotes “ Violent video games cause players to associate pleasure and happiness with the ability to induce pain in others.” (Pg.1, Procon) In 2000 a FBI report included playing violent video games in a list of behaviors associated with school shootings. It is common to die in video games and come back alive with multiple lives. A study in 2005 shows violent video game exposure has been reducing P300 amplitudes in the brain, which help with desensitization to violence and increases in aggressive behavior (Pg1, procon). Also young children confuse fantasy violence with the violence in the real world, and mimic the things they see in the games such as World Wrestling Entertainment.
