Many people have problems with human enhancement, even though nobody is quite sure as to why that is. Human enhancement is the attempt to change a human’s body in order to overcome limitations that are naturally given to humans. People tend to believe that human enhancement destroys the beauty of nature. Even though people want perfection, they want to be genetically perfect when they are actually born, instead of altered to this state by human enhancement using technologies specifically created for these reasons. Although some people believe that this could create amazing progress for the human species, many think that this causes more harm than good to the environment and those who are in it.

Sandel, means this in a similar way, saying that pride and self-confidence explains the moral hesitation to enhancement. There is also a Greek tragedy called Hubris that where the main character, Hubris attempts to control, what ultimately can not be controlled. Sandel is basically saying that by using human enhancement, people are trying to control things that should not be, or can not be controlled. In his article, Sandel specifically brings up the genetic alteration of animals, and states that hubris is the reason why people can not accept these alterations. For example, chickens could be altered to make their lives more pleasant by taking away their desire to roam free, meaning they will be happier in confinement, ultimately making the chickens have a happier life. Also, from his article, he writes that it would be beneficial to make animals not know when they are going to be put down, or slaughtered. This would lead the animals to not be worried before the end of their lives. This would ultimately bring more happiness to the animals during their final moments. Another benefit of genetic enhancement for animals would be able to make them able to live without parts of their bodies that they are typically killed for. This would be able to let animals live without the body parts that are used for food for people to eat, causing them to be able to live instead of being killed in a slaughterhouse. This would
