Holidays are certain events that are honored on one day out of the year. Thanksgiving is a big holiday that is celebrated every year on the fourth Thursday in November in the United States . It is a event where loved ones come together to feast enjoys ones company and give thanks for all the blessing they have recived in the last year.
Thanksgiving is a day where long distance relativies come into town by driving, trains and some even take planes. During the year family members can be very busy with work and school. Making it hard to see one another. This holiday is one that the family can reunite together as a whole. its stimulating when they get to see their loved ones each person can cook diffrent dishes making up a wonderful meal . some may cook traditonal foods and some can cook the desert. the day of thanksgiving they put it all on the table leaving a “ Feast for your eyes”. …show more content…

The turkey is an tradiontal food in every house hold. Most people agree the turkey is one important part of “Thanksgiving day” because of the U.S tradition meal held in 1621 by the Pilgrims and wampanoag because of the feast they shared, which was the first thanksgiving. In 1863 president Abraham Lincoln turned it into a national holiday. A day to give thanks to all the blessing that one have recieved through out the year.
