Arc Value Village: Arc Value Village is a non-profit store that donates its proceeds from its sales of donated objects to Arc Greater Twin Cities programs. Which then is used to provide aid for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. At Arc, I worked mostly on the floor stocking items in various sections the first day. Towards the end of that, I was pulled aside to organize the picture frame/scrapbooking section and the lamp section. Overall, I worked around five hours that day. The next day, I worked on stocking the floor again, but this time I was placing women’s bottoms out on the racks. Then after I had finished sweeping the new arrivals for any more women’s bottoms, I was sent to organize the office supplies, which I …show more content…

Though I also helped serve communion with some of the other volunteers and I helped with collecting offering during the service. The actual community service was fine. I got help out and that was nice. It also got me to go to my church, which is an irregular thing for me to do. I tend to be the only one from my group, in church, to show up to acolyte, which is a little frustrating a times, but I get used to it being just me. Plus, Arthur, the pastor who handles for of the youth related activities seems a appreciate me coming, so that is another bonus. I believe that Transfiguration Lutheran Church helps the community on a more personal basis. They do a lot more one on one work with events like their God work our hands days, there they send members of the church and the youth groups who are there for confirmation into the community with individual task, self-assigned tasks, or hosting large group events at the church or other locations if your group can’t think of anything. These project can be anything from helping the church pass out flyers, to clean up garbage, to making blankets, or just shovel snow for
