1. Position – People follow because they are influence by your position or title 2. Permission – People follow because they want to because you have developed a relationship with them 3. Production – People follow because they have seen your success and want to follow in your footsteps. 4. People Development - People follow because of what you have done for them. 5. Personhood – People follow because of who you are and what you are representing. (Maxwell, 1993, p. 13) Your Position After reviewing Maxwell’s five levels of influence I would classify myself as being in-between the production and people development levels, but I can also see small indications of being in the personhood level. It amazes me how perfect Gods timing is. For the last month I have stepped into the role of assistant women’s counselor at our women’s shelter.
