In the realistic fiction novel, A Seperate Peace by John Knowles, the setting revels characteristicsof Finny. The locations that Finny have grown up around and hangs out at reflect him. In the novel the setting revels that that Finny is educated, athletic, and careless. Finny’s attendance at a comepetitive boarding school demenstates that he is educated. As Gene describes the school he says, “Like all, good schools, Devon did not stand isolated behind walls and gates but emerged naturally from the town which had produced it.” The area arounnd the school, which finny comes from, is well educated. Even though he is well educated, he is also well rounded in sports. The useage of the sports facilities by Finny shows his athletic ablities. Finny
