Educated people are all round this world, and they tend to impress you. Whether it be a person who is in the middle of the jungle in Africa or a person who is sitting at a desk running whole businesses. There are many things that can be considered education and as I write this paper I would like to take a good look at what it means to be well educated and help you see that each person does not have to know everything about every subject to be considered educated. In this assignment we have been given an article that we should look into to see a little more about what it really means to be educated. After looking at schools where I grew up and learning from my experience, the purpose of school all depends on the school and the teacher. In school I have seen teachers just slack off and try to get the students to memorize their material so that the teacher can get paid. There are also teachers who like to put effort into their students and help them learn and further their knowledge of their subjects. In sight of all of this we must still ask what it takes to be considered educated. Education is the focus of the teachers, and the teachers have to discern the education of a student as they put them through their different classes. How do the teachers do this? Testing is the main way that a teacher will discern the education of their students, but as we look at the response of the article, many people tend to realize that this is not a definite way to judge the education of the people in the class. Teachers have seen some vibrant students that were very educated but as they went to take the test they would receive bad grades. This doesn’t mean that the student is unintelligent or uneducated, but it means that some of the students do not test well. Though we see school as an indefinite way of discerning if the person is educated in the subject or not we cannot ignore schooling. The trial of someone’s education is usually the actual time to tell if the person is educated or not. Education has to be tested by action. A job is something that usually test’s someone’s education more than a test or anything else that would be offered in a classroom situation. I had said before that I have had many opportunities to work in many different places and have had many different jobs, I have seen the people who are educated in their field and I have seen people who are not. Education is seen when a person is under pressure as they are dealing with the struggles of life. And educated person is usually educated in a particular field of expertise. Some people may be great at multiplication and math, seen many times in math teachers and accountants, but there are also people who are educated in fields such as English, construction, farming, and cooking. Each of the jobs that I listed all have to have people who are educated about what they are specializing
