The Age of Responsibility is a really hard topic to discuss. Around the U.S. we have many different ages that determine adulthood. This needs to be discussed about to determine the age of adulthood for all states here in the U.S. because we have so many that we don’t even know what the age of adulthood is anymore. The age of adulthood should be at 21 years old. Why I believe this is the age of adulthood is that we’ve obtained laws at the age of 18 but later matured and adapted to them by the age of 21. But people might say we’ve not matured until the age of 25. Neuroscientists are clear about that different parts of the brain mature along different timetables.What this means is that many do not reach this at the age of 25 but most people are capable of doing this between the age of 16 and 21. This is important because this proves that scientific research doesn’t always prove that the age of 25 is when we are adults because of our brain or maturity is fully developed there. At 18 you are beginning to become an adult but later gain more responsibilities as a 21 year old later and handle the drinking age. 18-teen is still part of the teen era and has many more responsibilities to come but after 21 it’s pretty much done. 18 is not yet the drinking age but many 18 year olds in the U.S.have done under age drinking.
