1939, the start of the most tragic war in history by one of the greatest leaders of history. The attack on Poland in 1939 by Adolf Hitler sparked a historic war where the first atomic bomb was used. Adolf Hitler, the dictator of Germany, is known by some as the “savior from the economic Depression” (Yihan). This savior had leadership qualities similar to those of Jack in the novel Lord of the Flies. The novel represents Adolf Hitler through Jack, proven by his assertive personality, persuading character and innovative thinking. Northouse defines leadership as “A process whereby an individual influences a group of individuals to achieve a common goal” (qtd in Bishop). While leaders who seek less power, like Ralph, tend to have members consisting of people with a lower need for power, Piggy. Basically, the personality of the members and the leader's, reflect how each other acts. Using the leader-member relationship conveyed by Mcclane, one can deduce that Jack, who was possessed by the idea of absolute power, would in fact conclude that he has the more serious members. Compared to that of Ralph's whose only residing member is Piggy, someone who is not interested in power whatsoever. To have members that fight for their desires in as the majority shows the capable leadership qualities Jacks possesses. Based on the leader-member relationship, Jack is considered the more powerful leader compared to the leadership of Ralph. Taking in consideration the key factors determining a leader, Jack is the clear superior over Ralph with his assertive personality, persuading character, innovated thinker and the quality and quantity of his members. Compared to his real-life counterpart, Jack is the relative twin of Adolf Hitler. The two leaders posses the same qualities and abilities, demonstrating Jacks potential as a successful
