Abortion is a medical procedure where a woman's ends her pregnancy and the death of her fetus. Abortion is one of the worlds most talked about topics and in some countries it is a crime to abort a child, some it is not. There are two types of abortion are for women, medical and surgical. Medical abortion is different from the surgical abortion medical abortion relies on medication which is giving from doctor. Surgical abortion is a process where a doctor goes in and removes the baby himself. I believe that abortion is wrong, but in the case of rape I believe it’s okay for a women to abort a child. Laws on abortion varies from country to country. In these essay I will address the differences in several other countries. For example, countries Belgium, Brazil, Canada, and Cuba.
In Belgium abortion was illegal to the early 1990’s, however there was some places women could go to have it done these abortions was high-quality. The law that allowed abortion approved women in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy to have it without any consequences. Many women in Belgium have the age of consent by 16, but one-third of women start before the age of 18 years of age. Women under the age of 18 must have consent from parents to have a abortion.
Brazil is different from other countries, abortion is still illegal to this day in brazil which I agree with unless there is a case of rape or the mothers life is in danger. Even-though, the law has made it illegal to have abortions Brazil still has one of the worlds highest rates of abortion. I think maybe it’s because the age of consent with women in Brazil is much earlier then other places it’s very early at the age of 14, not to mention the children who start before then. In conclusion, I’ve explained the differences in 5 different countries and how they handle their abortion for women. All of these countries abortions have different rates some don’t even allow abortions but yet they still hold the highest rates amongst the nation. With this being said I believe that abortions is wrong and with I believe earlier education of sex in these countries I believe it will prevent teen pregnancy and the abortion rate as a whole. Abortion is an ongoing epidemic I hope will someday end, will hope and government help someday it can happen all over the world, save the lives of future doctors and presidents who will someday give back to the world in attempt to better it each day.
