John Knowles in “A Separate Peace” portrayed multiple aspects of Gene’s and Finny’s friendship. Envy is the feeling or desire to have a quality, possession, or other desirable attribute belonging to (someone else). Individuals start to develop envious feelings because they sense the lacking of an important piece in their lives that is necessary to complete them. Envy can not only break down an individual internally but the presence of envy in any certain relationship can be injurious and harmful to one’s health and their surroundings/environment .
