“Education is not the preparation for life; education is life itself.” - John Dewey. Every year, as we enter a new grade, new challenges approach us. Eighth grade is no exception., and will be very different from 7th grade. As I enter my eighth grade school year, I will be bombarded with a variety of new experiences and challenges such as buddies, academics, and being prepared for high school. One of the most important tasks that is thrust onto me is buddies.

East Jordan high school must add more classes because they help with schedules, college, and preparedness.
I have learned in my 8th grade experience that working hard is key to passing classes. Not only do you have to work hard, but you have to work smart. You need to be able to complete your work on time and correctly. If you can do this in 8th grade, then you should have a blast.
My mom basically ignoring what I said just repeatedly told me to apologize to which I replied with a no. Finally alone I higher my record player drowning into the words of Cat Steven secretly thanking God that the conversation didn’t last long, so I was still able to hear Father and Son. Thinking About a fight that broke after a weak of my confrontation with Hector. It was a tense day, or it was just me not sure, but it felt off. I had therapy later, so I was picking an outfit mentally cursing my therapist for scheduling on a weekend when Elizabeth walked in (my oldest sister) and did she look pissed was not an exaggeration, she has my mothers you're in trouble look, and it is truly terrifying.
Don’t be embarrassed when you fall down the stairs because we all have done that. Don’t be scared or nervous about the bell, tardies or getting to your classes on time. The teachers are really nice and will help you with homework and finding your classes. Mrs. Daniels was my favorite teacher in 6th grade she helps you with homework and getting to your class on time.
I had a good year in first grade. I became the best artist in the class. I started getting better at English. My first word was “bathroom.” I made two friends Michelle Sherman and Karen Calle. After that I started feeling better and actually liking this school. Everything felt better and worked out great!
Some people may say that middle school was the worst years of their life, but in my case middle school was the best years of my life. It changed me, It made me a better person then who I was before. I am wiser, smarter, stronger, and overall just better. So if any elementary kids were
When I was at school one day eating lunch with some of my friends as we walked around the school campus. The bell had rung for the next period, when I was walking to my class, I stepped in gum that someone had dropped on the ground. I had to clean it off my shoes, however it was stunk to my shoes like glue. So I went to my last period class and my teacher asked me what happened and I told her that I stepped in gum, So she let me go to the bathroom but i couldn’t remove the gum from my shoes. Then when I went home, I told my mom, that I stepped in gum. My mom had said she would get me new shoes but she didn’t. Then when I went to school the next day I stepped in more gum again further damaging my shoes. I had to tell my mom again that I stepped

My high school days all merge into one large blur, except for one. This happened to be a Thursday afternoon after we had dropped off the carpool and my father told me that my grandmother had been diagnosed with stomach cancer. There was a sense of despair and disbelief in the air, as we both held the notion that stomach cancer was more or less the equivalent of a death sentence. My father seemed to be especially upset as he kept repeating the fact that she had relinquished her green card a few years earlier. This meant that she would have to perform surgeries and treatment in her native country of Brazil, instead of the United States. In the end, she had her entire stomach removed and her mental health deteriorated immensely as a result.

In my first year in 6th grade was bumpy, shocking and ugly because I didn’t really look really pleasing to the eyes because I was a nerd. I didn’t have any real friends to trust because I didn’t talk to anybody. It was really shocking because people actually liked me. I was also shocked because I wasn’t as shy anymore. I wanted to talk to more people and new friends. But I really miss 6th grade but then I don’t because of drama that went on that year.
I couldn’t even stand to talk about it. Flash forward to this summer, and it ended up being one of the best things to happen to me. It was fall break during eighth grade, and my dad was visiting me in Oxford for the weekend. It was a fantastic weekend, and everything was going great. But one evening while my dad and I were walking on the square, it just went downhill from there.
It was Friday morning and I was in the 5th grade at the time. My father decided to pull both me and my brother out of school. My mother wasn’t home. She had already gone up to the hospital with my grandmother.
