Middle School Changed Me Middle school was a amazing experience, for me anyway. I, myself have changed tremendously from the beginning of 6th grade to the end of 8th grade. Not just in appearance either, on the inside as well. Entering middle school, I was scared because I looked differently compared to the other kids around me. I feared that I might get bullied by upperclassmen or even my peers. Though it did help that my elementary was literally 5 steps from Luna Middle School, the middle school that I attended, so that was nice. Even then there was many new faces in that school. I was entering Middle school, “ the next chapter of my life” as my mom called it, extremely unfit. Track was my only sport, so I worked really hard to be the best that I can be. Track wasn't the only thing that i tried to be the best in, rather I was trying to be a better person overall. In 8th grade, I was no longer pre-diabetic or had any other health concerning issues, I was fit and strong. At the end of 8th grade, I weighed 165 (10 lbs less than 6th grade) and my height was 5’10” ( 5 inches more than 6th grade). My maxes now are 270 on bench, 535 on squat, 585 on deadlift, which as you can tell is a major jump from 6th grade. Some people may say that middle school was the worst years of their life,but in my case middle school was the best years of my life. It changed me, It made me a better person then who I was before. I am wiser, smarter,stronger, and overall just better. So if any elementary kids were to read this. Middle school isnt bad, its good so enjoy every minute of it.
