I think guns should be legal due to the lack of self-defense people are left with in dangerous situations and have no way of protecting themselves. There are many crimes nowadays and they seem to increase over the years but with those crimes there are victims and those victims are left defenseless and the law isn’t always fast enough to respond to these criminal acts. People also say that with all the mass shootings that occur, they could possibly become less deadly or even prevented if someone else in the vicinity has a weapon to protect him/her and the others around them. Along with that individuals say if guns are sold legally, they should be sold in more guns shops with licensed and trained employees. They should also have restrictions with buying that gun, more detailed background check, a license, and a safe that has to be bought with the weapon so it’s safe from children and teens. Finally, there are many incidents that happen with guns and many arguable points on each side of the topic. This is just one reason why the government needs to crack down on illegally owned guns and the owners themselves because it may help prevent crimes, suicides, homicides, etc., in the future making cities throughout society safer and cleaner. Should our country legalize guns? The answer to that question is yes! Why?
