Many philosophers said that the philosophy is almost in the end. It¡¦s ¡§the death
of philosophy¡¨. Maybe because most of the people only focus on how to make a
living nowadays, besides, no work, no pay, I don¡¦t blame them. Also the dominating
trend of science, people are tend to be more realistic and practical thinking, more
incline on material satisfation. Although many top scientists know the importance of
philosophy and the existence of the unseen dimension but most of the people don¡¦t
bother much on that, they just want to aquire a practical living skill which allow them
to make a living, they don¡¦t bother to try to think in another philosophical way, after
all they don¡¦t want much, just to make a living. That¡¦s what they want a new kind of
philosophy simplicity. People who want to study philosophy may feel suffocated
sometimes, but they continue to treat it another philosophy lesson I guess. Philosophy
will never, it just exist in another form in another time as long as we still see ourselves
as human. In my opinion, I think the appearance of a person is not the most important
thing. We can¡¦t judge people by appearance. A good- looking person will not be a nice
person actually. I have seen a very good movie called ¡¨Shallow Hal¡¨. I could
understand that truth from it. Most of people are like the character in the story, a
shallow guy. He finds beauty only in supermodels and centerfolds. The first thing he
looks for in a woman is looks. Throughout history, few concepts have been pondered
as much as the nature of beauty. Philosophers, poets, scientists, and theologians have
contemplated and been inspired by its many forms and mysteries. Some find it in the
wonders of natural, others in the simple, enigmatic smile. There are even those who
have traveled to the ends of the earth and beyond in search of beauty. I say the beauty
is a person who has a warm heart. In the pass, I will judge a person from his or her
looking. But now I know it¡¦s a wrong thing. What we see on the surface is not always
the truth. I should see everything from many points. Then I will understand more
principles of many things. Many people think money is the most important thing of
life. I always think about one question: If I were a millionaire but with a serious
on a scale from 1 to 3, the importance men gave to good looks rose from 1.50 to 2.11. But for women, the importance of good looks in men rose from 0.94 to 1.67. In other words, women in 1989 considered a man look’s more important than men considered women’s looks 50 years earlier
Have you ever wondered why people see things differently from other or why they think the way they do? Harper Lee, the author of to Kill a Mocking Bird, once said, “you will never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view… Until you climb inside his his skin and walk around in it.” I believe what Lee had said is entirely true. People won’t ever fully understand what someone is going through without actually being them. Seeing through other people perspective gives us some understanding of a certain situation and helps us realize all parts of the story. When you change the way you look at thing the things you look at change.
There is a famous saying that states, “ we should not judge a book by its cover”, but oftentimes the first thing noticed on a person is their looks. One’s “physical beauty” strongly influences people’s first impressions of them. As a whole, we tend to assume that pretty people are more likeable and better people than those who are unattractive. Around the world, we believe that what is beautiful is good. There is a general consensus within a culture about what is considered physically appealing and beautiful. “Physical beauty” is associated with being more sociable, intelligent, and even socially skilled. Society shares this common notion of who has and who does not have “physical beauty”. Thus, “physical beauty”, as seen
Most of the time in our society, we judge the people by their appearance. The important thing that most of the attractive people should know is that no one chose to be born ugly or not. Being attractive doesn't mean being physical looks good. Also, we need to consider that sometimes the most attractive people have the worst manners ever. Usually, they are smugglers and have bad behaviors. But we have to admit that we made that mistake. We have given value to the beauty and neglected morality. For me, appearance is not everything, because if I am communicating with somebody, I need him to be respectful to me, as I am respectful to him. I am not saying that the attractive people disrespectful, but a lot of them have sick thoughts. They think
Philosophy is defined by Webster as "Love and pursuit of wisdom by intellectual means and moral self-discipline" or "Investigation of the nature, causes, or principles of reality, knowledge, or values, based on logical reasoning rather than empirical methods." This essay is a general look at those who pursued that intellectual means, those who investigated, even those who reasoned Reason. Because volumes could be written and this is a rather quick, unworthy paper: apologizes.
The philosophy of Tae Kwon Do is to build a more peaceful world. To accomplish this goal Tae Kwon Do begins with the foundation, the individual. The Art strives to develop the character, personality, and positive moral and ethical traits in each practitioner. It is upon this "foundation" of individuals possessing positive attitudes and characteristics that the "end goal" may be achieved.
The way our culture has a tendency to view other individuals by there appearance will probably never change. In some way everyone has it set in his or her mind what makes a person "perfect". These characteristics include personal appearance, wealth and intelligence. We do not always get the chance to get to know a person, but rather make assumptions. Two poems, which reveal different perceptions of someone, include Richard Cory and The Barbie Doll.
If I were to walk down the street, there would be many different comments going through people's heads as I passed. Some people would find me attractive, and some would find me ugly. Some people might find me sexy, and others might find me skinny and sickly looking. The bottom line is that it does not matter what they think. It only matters what I think because I am the only one in the whole world that has to live with myself.
How would it feel to be judged based on your appearances and not by your actions? Image in most cases has several different ways of distinguishing between beauty and the potential it takes of being able to work in a market. Well, In today's market owners are making decisions hiring based on the employees look and not analyze the employee as a whole. Most companies want someone who is emphatically able to bring in more sales and consumers. Some of the famous companies want their employee to have the necessary looks to get people to just walk in their store. By just having those special looks these employees are more likely to get the job then a person who is actually good in communication.Companies who choose to hire based on persons image can end up for discrimination or not giving everyone an equal opportunity.Hiring someone based on their qualifications and not just image can benefit the company in the long term life.
the evil in the characters comes out. Throughout all three of the stories, the reader realizes that
The first impression you have when meeting someone is their appearance, which makes it easy to judge people based on how they
In a world in which people are so often judged by how they look, the
Appearances are much more than how something simply looks. An appearance is how something is viewed in various facets, including the physical, intellectual, and emotional traits of the given person. There are also different points of view when discussing appearances. There are the appearances we give ourselves, and the appearances we give to others. Even though these appearances define who we are to the naked eye, they are almost never the complete truth. People characterize us based on what they see, and not necessarily who we actually are. This false sense of truth masks reality, and deceives the beholder.
many different topics which can be covered under the umbrella of philosophy. Philosophers are supposed
There is a saying “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.” What one individual considers beautiful may not be beautiful to another. Many people in this world have their own definition of what beauty is. Beauty can come from inside or the outside. To me, beauty is not only something that pleases the eyes. Beauty is a quality that pleases or delights the senses or mind. Unfortunately, society makes it nearly impossible to see our own beauty. Most girls are inclined to take a quick look into a compact mirror or run a few fingers through their hair, sizing themselves up with the nearest advertisement featuring a flawless bottle blonde. Some may go a bit further, running an endless list of insecurities
