The Importance of Motor Fitness in Netball
In a sport like netball, we need motor fitness; this would allow the
performer to be successfully in a game or even in any particular
activity. There are many components of motor fitness, which we apply
to in a game of netball.
Speed is one of the products of motor fitness, when playing netball
the player shall use a lot of speed when on the court. Producing quick
movements allow a player to dodge the opposition and they are able to
get free to receive a pass. A player without quick movement may slow
the game down and would not be able to get away from a player quick
enough resulting in an interception taking place, leading to lost
possession.
Agility allows a player to rapidly change body position and direction
in a precise manner. Netballers use agility a lot when participating
in a game of netball. Players use this fitness to try and put off
their opposition. They pretend to go one way and with quick body
movement they change to go another and by doing this they are able to
use leg power to speed off into a free space and receive an oncoming
pass. If you have enough power in your legs then you are able to use
it to push off from one point and change complete direction to go in
another free space on the court which would then confuse the defender
as they would carry on and it would be longer before they were to
catch up with you, by this time you may be able to have received a
pass and be ready to move on creating more space on the court.
Another motor fitness is co-ordination this allows a person to be able
to perform motor tasks in an accurate way. Co-ordination helps you
with dodging and moving around the court to get away from your marker.
Moving your body has a lot to do with co-ordination, when being marked
you may pretend to go one way and go in a different direction, all

While over the spring break my father, boyfriend, and I partook in supporting our home towns local ice hockey team the San Antonio Rampage take on Grand Rapids Griffins. However, while going through the procedure of finding our seats, attaining snacks and beverages, and watching the game I was able to examine different kinesiology components throughout the event. Just by entering the AT&T center one can be overwhelmed by the lights and excitement of everything going on however, the organization going on here is very extensive and if broken down they can analyze how everything can relate to sports kinesiology in some way.
Ice hockey is a sport played on ice, often within the confines of a rink. The sport is played with two teams on skates who use sticks to shoot a puck at a net to score, only occurring when the puck gets past the goaltender. The game is played with usually five skaters on the ice, plus the goaltender. Three of these players are usually forwards, while two are defenders. This game moves at a fast pace where players are on the ice for usually 45 seconds at a time before a line change occurs, where the players on the ice come off and a new set of players go on [1]. The offensive line is on the ice to get the puck to the other team’s zone and shoot on the goaltender. The defensive line is on the ice to protect the goaltender and
Suppose you kick a soccer ball without giving it any spin. Your foot, therefore, gives the ball an initial speed (v) and an initial angular speed of 0. Since grass is not frictionless, the ball initially slides across the field, then starts to rotate and, eventually, starts rolling without slipping. A soccer ball rolls without slipping when its center-of-mass speed equals its angular speed (around its center of mass). OK, now suppose you want to kick the ball so that it immediately starts rolling without slipping. How? You would give the ball "topspin" by striking the ball a distance (s) above an imaginary horizontal line that passes through the ball's center. But where? ANSWER: s=0.4R. You would strike the ball a little less than half the radius of the ball above its center line.

Sport aerobics is a new exiting performance sport, and like any new sport, is seeking recognition and acceptance as a valuable and worthwhile competitive activity. It is said however, that Sport Aerobics will always struggle for popular support because of pre-existing stereotyped views of sport in Australian society. The purpose of this essay is to challenge stereotyped views of sport in Australian society in order to increase participation in Sport Aerobics. To do this a proposed strategy will be implemented at Nambour High School to challenge stereotyped views of sport and breakdown social barriers to the participation in Sport Aerobics. This strategy involves including Sport Aerobics as a compulsory activity in the junior school physical
As the year 2010 has arrived, the problem of the portrayal of women in sports no longer lies in their fight for equality and opportunity, but in fighting off the competition with men. It is no longer an issue of women not being taken seriously or being looked down upon if they decide to be athletes, but that men want to take part in competition with women in sports. This film thus focuses on the struggles that the male protagonist faces in trying to compete with the popularity of women's sports and his desire to take part in the world of women's sports.

Sport and exercise psychology is a mandatory aspect of the sport science discipline. This discipline contributes to the various professional practices associated with physical activities such as - teaching of physical education, recreation and health promotion, and kinesiology related professions - because it plays a mental role for the participants. Sport and exercise psychologists view physical activity in several different ways: physical activity as a tool for health, physical activity as a tool for human potential, and physical activity as a tool for social change. This aspect of psychology may be the most important aspect of physical activity, because of the contributions of exercise and sport psychology to health, human potential, and social change.
