During my life I had some accomplishments. But, I will tell you the truth I cannot call them as my great accomplishments. At this point of my life I had the two greatest events. My first event was my high school graduation. The second event, which was the biggest and the most unforgettable was my wedding day.
First event that I accomplished was when I got my high school diploma. Even though finishing high school was not an easy task for me, those days were the best moments of my life. I always knew that if I would finish high school and then hold the diploma in my hands I would always make my parents and of course feel very proud. My parents are proud because I am their oldest child and I am the first who graduated high school successfully. This is my first year in college, I am majoring biology, and some day I would have not a high school graduation but I would be a graduate from college. My dream is to be a physician assistant. I hope that some day I will achieve all of my goals. When I would get my degree it would be one of my greatest accomplishments.
My second event was a little different. It was the event the totally changed my view of life. The unforgettable day was my wedding day. April 29th in the year 2002 was the day when I became responsible for my own life. Even though I have so many responsibilities I would never regret the moment I agreed to be my husbands wife. My wedding ceremony was the event that I dreamed of since I was a little girl. I imagined every detail of it. It was like a fairy tale wedding. I was wearing the most elegant dress in the world. There were three hundred people at the ceremony. I would never forget such a beautiful day.
One thing that I never thought about is how it would be sad to leave my parents. At the end of the ceremony, deep in my heart I felt very sad. I looked at my parents and when I saw my mother was crying I felt like my heart would burst. I realized that starting tomorrow I was going to be without my mother. I thought how it would be hard to say goodbye to the home where I grew up in.
One of the most memorable moments in my life has to be when my grandaughter Aliana Marie Garcia was born. I had been waiting for her to come to this world for a whole nine months!. it was already a special day I held closely as my religion celebrates a special occasion on that day, it is called, "El Dia de Los Reyes", which is a special religious holiday in Mexican culture that is centered around small gifts for children. It was definitely a very wonderful surprise with the precious gift any person can obtain, the gift of life.
Tomorrow, I thought to myself. I was not ready to leave all the memories and laughter I had lived. I felt like I was leaving a piece of me behind, I told myself that I could not turn back. I had to move forward to start a new chapter of my life. At that moment, I began to hope and mostly believe in new possibilities. As I woke up, tears were falling down my face. I couldn’t believe that I was going to leave my hometown, my native land, my motherland. I had no words to describe the desolation I felt. My body tightened; immersed in my despair I finally decided to go and take a cold shower and brush my teeth. I had confusing and anxious thoughts. I was feeling defeated because I couldn’t do anything about it anymore but at the same time as a natural optimist, I was
The day I moved away, a lot of things were going through my young mind. As I took my last look at my home, I remembered all the fun times I had with my family and friends through out my life. Now I was moving 800 miles away from all of that with no insight on what lied ahead for me. As my family and I drove away from our Michigan home, I looked out the window wondering what Virginia would be, and what my friends were doing. A lot of things were going through my mind at the time. At the time my main worry was if I would make any friends, and how I would adjust to everything. During the whole drive down, my mother would often let me know that everything would be all right and I would like it. Trying to be strong and hold back my tears, I just shook my head no, wondering why we had to move so far away. Life would be different for me and I knew it would.
One of the biggest accomplishments that I feel I have achieved is being a captain for my soccer team when I was in grade 9 (overseas). Back when I was in Ethiopia, soccer was one of the biggest things we loved growing up. Soccer was the only thing available as a sport in our school, so being a captain of a team was kind of a big deal. My time as a captain taught me a lot of things about what being in a position of power means.
My biggest accomplishment in my life would had been when I received my certification as a nursing assistant. The reason being, I had failed the first time; I passed the written part, but failed the physical task part. I was depressed for months - I didn't hang out with friends, hardly ate, and I didn't even feel the need to continue trying to get my certification. Sadly, during those depressed months, I had to wait until I was able to retake the physical which also costed me another $80 (no one wants to hand out that amount of money when you are already upset failing the first time). When I first received the news I had failed it was a terrible feeling, and I felt like a complete failure. Though, after retaking my physical and passing - I felt
This day held an a very memorable event in my life that I will never forget. All the excitement and anxiety I felt this day will not be
Donald Trump’s career leading up to his presidency. Trump’s first big move into Manhattan, at the age of 30. Barack Hussein Obama is known due to his accomplishment of being the first African American to serve as the president of the United States. Obama was born in the state of Hawaii where his grandparents raised him. He was raised in humble environment and learned to value his education. Obama was already successful before becoming president in which he learned a lot about politics as he was a US senator, a Harvard law president and even a teacher. He later decided to pursue his political career and lead the nation. Barack Obama's early life contributed to his actions of wanting to help the people and bring the citizens of the United States together. Many of his home, educational, political, and religious contexts helped influence his future career as he did become the 44th president and his life before led up to his accomplishment.
Barack married Michelle Robinson in 1992, they have two children Malia Ann (1999) and Sasha (2001). After graduating from the University of Chicago in 1991, Obama worked as a civil rights lawyer and also a part time law professor at University of Chicago Law school. “When he graduated, opulent law firms flung their doors open to him. He was offered jobs at Wall Street firms, as well as a clerkship on the U.S. Supreme court” (Sapet,74). This person has served as First Lady of the United States, Secretary of State, Senator from New York, First Lady of Arkansas, a practicing lawyer and law professor, activist, and volunteer. These are just the few accomplishments that the one and only Hillary Clinton has achieved over the years. Hillary Clinton is well-known around the U.S. for her bold and fearless speeches and she’s not afraid to speak her mind. She has inspired many children to be follow their dreams, just like she did when she decided she wanted to run for president. Over the months Clinton decided that first mission would to help kids and teens around the United States of America actually go to college without paying so much, but she has a lot to say about gay rights and
I am interested in a career in the medical field because it would allow me to serve the community in a manner that would benefit the people, my family, and myself. Throughout the entirety of my life, I have been a part of what I can best describe as a community-wide circle of giving. My family and myself receive assistance from the community and we give back by donating our extra food and clothes. Another way I like to give back is by donating my time to help the community by volunteering. Indeed, as a member of the Honors College, the motto by which we pursue our college careers truly plays a large part in my life- “To Be Honorable Is to Serve”. Thus, by obtaining a career in the medical field, I hope to continue this circle of giving, and hopefully improve it in some way as my career progresses.
I have not had a single accomplishment that is worth writing about but I feel that my college completion will be one accomplishment that I will be most proud. I feel that I am taking one step forward in life that will make me become a more successful person.
The first thing on my list is to graduate high school. I will accomplish this by working hard in my classes to achieve good grades. Being my senior year, I plan to really concentrate on my school work to help get a better grade point average (G.P.A). By earning a higher G.P.A. it can help lead to scholarships,...
My biggest accomplishment in school is when I graduated high school early despite what others said. I decided that public high school was not for me, because of all of the distractions I had. So I begged my mom to transfer me to butterflied high school. I went one time a week to meet with my teacher were I turned in all my homework and took my tests. I feel that going
Throughout life I have had many memorable events. The memorable times in my life vary from being the worst times in my life and some being the best, either way they have become milestones that will be remembered forever. The best day of my life was definitely the day that I received my drivers’ license. This day is one of the most memorable because of the feelings I had when I received it, the opportunities that were opened up for me and the long lasting benefits that I received from it that still exist today.
