Clotho didn’t make it through the night. Jim stepped out of the operating room and dropped down in a chair just outside. His gaze never stopped looking forward as Chandi got up from a chair on the opposite side of the door looking at him with some kind of hopeful expectation. That hope was dashed the moment she saw his pale face. “W-What… happened…?” Chandi asked already expecting the worst. “I… couldn’t save her. The wounds… they were inflicted by some sort of power I’ve never seen before. Every time I tried to close the wounds… It was like that power was determined to kill her.” Jim muttered in a slightly delirious tone. Without a word, Chandi took in a deep breath and let it sit with her for a few seconds before she exhaled. A flash of the power of the Angels appeared in her mind for a second but she shook it off. Now with a clear mind, she slapped Jim across the face shaking him out of his state of shock. “Thanks…” Jim mumbled when he finally untied his facemask. “Now that you’re back to your senses, were you able to take any samples of the power you mentioned?” Chandi questioned and Jim just nodded lightly. “I have my assistant taking it to my main lab so I can run an analysis on the composition of the magic. It must have been a powerful curse to do something like that…” Jim continued almost rambling at this point trying not to think of what he saw. “Your assistant is running it to your lab?! You should take it yourself and find out everything you can!” Chandi erupted when she heard what he had to say while Jim just looked back at her shocked by her sudden outburst. “What exactly happened?” Jim finally asked the question. “I… can’t say right now. I’m sorry, just please hurry with the analysis. It is an important piece for ... ... middle of paper ... ...e is a real threat to this world! Isn’t there anyone concerned about our future?!” Chandi thought as she rushed through the corridors of the Assembly Hall when she was suddenly stopped by a voice. “So you have finally found out about the Angelus.” Schlange stated forcing Chandi to turn her head towards him leaning against a nearby wall. “To think you even went up against the leader of the Seraphim and survived. Seraphiel was the name, was it not? We have no information on her so this is a great help.” “You… know about those Angels?” Chandi uttered in shock as she continued to look at him. ‘But of course, what do you think I have been trying to achieve all this time? We need to organize our people in order to be ready for the coming invasion. We could use your information so why don’t you join us – the Illuminati?” Schlange asked as he extended his hand out to Chandi.
