Abstract- In this paper the method face Recognition is using to access Automated teller machines (ATMs). ATMs are used to do banking function like checking balance withdraw money, changing pin numbers etc. The ATM cards and pin numbers are used for security purpose. But this system is using SIM card in place of ATM cards. In order to improve security the system first authenticate the person if he/she is recognized then it will ask the password of the account. This system used Spartan 3 FPGA board
Principal Component Analysis Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is a multivariate analysis performed in purpose of reducing the dimensionality of a multivariate data set in order to recognize the shape or pattern of that data set. In other words, PCA is a powerful technique for pattern recognition that attempts to explain the variance of a large set of inter-correlated variables. It indicates the association between variables, thus, reducing the dimensionality of the data set. (Helena et al, 2000;
The face has a significant role in social interaction, conveying the identity, expressing emotions and gender recognition etc. The ability of humans in recognizing a face is noteworthy as faces contains important information which helps to differentiate them from one another, therefore humans are able to recognize a large number of faces which they have learned during their life and recognize well-known faces at a quick look even after several years. Face recognition can be defined as the process
Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA), also known as Fisherface method, uses the Fisher’s linear discriminant criterion to overcome the limitations of eigenfaces method (Batagelj, 2006). This criterion tries to maximize the ratio of the determinant of the between-class scatter matrix of the projected samples to the determinant of the within-class scatter matrix of the projected samples. The aim is to maximize the between-class scatter while minimizing the within-class
Digital Image Processing is one of the fast pace growing and intresting field in the subject of computer Engineering.Its importance can be shown by the fact that it is disciplinary subject that is part of different branches of engineering. Firstly to get idea about digital image processing we should know the exact definition of image."A image can be said as two dimensional function f(x,y),where x and y are plane coordinate.Amplitudes of 'f' at any pair of co-ordinates (x,y) is known as intensity
Biometric technologies “Biometrics is certainly the most secure form of authentication, it's the hardest to imitate and duplicate." - Avivah Litan By Jacky Mai The term biometrics is comes from the Greek words bio “life” and metrics “measurement”. Biometrics are unique physical characteristics that can be used for automated recognition, this can range from any physical feature on your body including your eyes, nose, face. In 1858, “William Herschel was working for the civil service
Are faces special? For most of us, the human face is one of the most common visual stimuli experienced on a daily basis. Starting from birth, we begin to identify the faces of those around us, soon becoming an everyday occurrence not given much thought to. In the following pages, I will be discussing face perception and the cognitive functions behind it, prosopagnosia, and the question of whether faces are any different from other specialized object recognition. Why exactly are faces important
