On June 19,1834, Charles Haddon Spurgeon was born in a small cottage in Kelvedon, Essex, England. He was born to John and Eliza Spurgeon. After living there for almost a year, He and his family moved to Colchester, England. Charles was one of 17 children, but only 8 of them lived through infancy. Charles’ father and grandfather were both ministers, so the thought of God was not new to him, however, the thought of the Baptist belief was new.
