Daisy is presented, as the most mysterious female character in the novel that is selfish, has no moral values and is in love with money, ease and always seeking for material luxury. The women in the novel were very independent and vulnerable and also they are driven purely by their economic situations.. Daisy, despite her love for Gatsby, wanted to be wealthy and married Tom Buchanan as a young woman.
