1.0 INTRODUCTION Nowadays, in the university system, online registration is a secure website that students enter to indicate that they will attend classes in the upcoming Students can access the e-registration site from anywhere with an internet connection. The registration process is extremely important to the University and the students. According to Pena-Lopez (2007) describes a web portal as a site that functions as a point of access to information on the World Wide Web and portals present information from diverse sources. E-registration is a system that could easily manage its student schedule. The education system requires a tremendous amount of data and documentation, and this e-registration solution allows institutions to focus less on processing paperwork and more on what matters most meeting the educational needs of their students by having a cost-efficient, secure registration process that allows for easy access to student files. Intranets and portals are supposed to provide an infrastructure through which end-users can gain effective access to information sources needed to assist in daily tasks such as effective decision making, planning and research ( Brakel, 2003). Thus, the electronic registration system has a very high availability and that always be able to access and create student records especially at the start of a new academic year when new students arrive.

The core purpose of the article is to anatomize the relationship among the adult students ability and instructional technology competency in the online environment. This article investigates the motivation and learning approaches that the students use to learn . The article results indicate that motivation is an important factor for learning technology in an online environment.
Different styles of research are employed in research to safeguard that the facts are acquired to permit examiners to find resolution to the principal queries for the study correctly, therefore, evading uncertainty ( ). Acquiring relevant proof encompasses stipulating the type of proof mandatory in answering the query. Methodological designs encompass logical complications; therefore, matters of sampling, information gathering methods, and queries are secondary to the type of method used in research. Strategies are often compared with quantitative and qualitative research methods. Research and collective studies are often observed as principal specimens of quantitative research and are evaluated compared to the flaws and strong point of numerical, examination, and quantitative research methods ( ).
Now within the rest of this paper you will be finding a few different things getting discussed. Staring it off we will be discussing the articles that we have found to make our arguments and hypotheses. After wrapping up the literature reviews we will be discussing the hypotheses thus continuing onto our variables and indicators. Once we discuss our hypotheses we will be moving onto the research design. The research design will have our general issues, sampling, and methods.
...determine what the explicit question is, know how best to answer the question via an approach of induction or deduction and relay them accordingly to a suitable design. There should be rationale for each stage of the study. Data collection tools used must be appropriate to answer the research question or objectives. Data analysis and interpretation must be transparent. Bias should be reduced as much as possible. The researcher must address all the ethical principles. Both qualitative and quantitative methods have differential strengths and weaknesses. It is important to understand that no single paradigm will tackle all the questions. Both qualitative-based and theory-based research methods serve together to achieve better understanding of human world. Developing a research study is like doing a jigsaw. The component parts need to be viewed and then they must

It has been stated that “once you are clear about your research topic, you will be able to choose the most appropriate research strategy and data collection and analysis techniques” (Sanders et al, 2009: 20-21). This applies to the proposed research, as it is the “the logical sequence that connects the empirical data to a study’s initial research questions and, ultimately, to its conclusions” (Yin, 2009). A comprehensive research design includes strategies, choices and takes into account the time horizons. Extensive time and effort needs to be taken into account when creating a research design, as it has been described to be the glue that holds the components of the research project together. For this reason, it is vital that a detailed methodology is prepared meticulously in order to produce a solid research. It is important to note that there are a variety of ways to conduct a research to answer proposed questions, however each of the three questions will be tackled with an approach in order to provide a general understanding of the different methods to be adopted.
Distributed systems are grouping of computers linked through a network that uses software to coordinate their resources to complete a given task. The majority of computer systems in use today are distributed systems. There are limited uses for a singular software application running on an unconnected individual hardware device. A perfect distributed system would appear to be a single unit. However, this ideal system is not practical in real world application due to many environmental components. There are many attributes to consider when designing and implementing distributed systems. Distributed Software Engineering is the implementation of all aspects of software production in the creation of a distributed
In conclusion, as seen from above, the three main purposes of research were identified and discussed which are exploration, description, and explanation. Before doing any kind of social research, it is very imperative to understand what research is and how it works. The four units of analysis which include individuals, groups, organisations, and social interactions were looked into. This basically shows that there are no boundaries as to whom or what can be studied. Followed was then the ecological fallacy and reductionism. Then the structure of the research proposal was outlined mainly because there are specific ways of doing research. The elements of the research project were put forward and lastly the interrelated processes of conceptualisation, operationalisation, and measurement were identified.
In conclusion, this paper looked at the six general tools of research and it also described the methods of how each could be used. These methods may act independent of each other or may work simultaneously with each other. However they may be used, they all act as necessary tools when executing the research process.
Today’s generation is like no other. The nation as a whole has completely evolved from past times, with technology being one of the greatest improvements. Traditionally, schooling takes place in a classroom setting, but, with the many modifications in our world’s system, we are able to assimilate more modern means of education, such as online learning. However, with many changes comes differences and requires adjustments. The online learning system has proven to be just as effective as traditional learning, with some minor differences, however, nothing of great significance. A few of those insignificant differences include online learning being convenient, especially for the non-traditional students,
In this chapter, discussion on what is research, research design, population, sampling strategy, sampling methods, sample size will be made. Moreover, great of emphasis will be given to data collection instruments, pilot study and data analysis. At the end a small conclusion will be stated.
Research is part and parcel of today's life, especially from an academic and professional perspective. Social research can be ideally defined as a practical activity targeted towards answering research questions by the use of research strategies including conducting a research design involving data collection and analysis and development of appropriate conclusions. Social research is an appropriate method of collecting information and presenting need for a particular argument. According to Walliman, (2006), the concept of social research therefore requires proper understanding in regards to the strategy utilized, the design employed, as well as the method used in conducting a particular study so as to ensure that the outcome is as valid and
Abstract: Recently, there has been a rush to create web-based instructional courses. The approach that is being taken to create web-based courses is to create websites that will function as the central distributors of information and materials. Based on the format and content of the course, the student is to go through lesson by lesson to complete courses. In this paper, I address some of the problems inherent in this approach, especially with respect to 18-22 year-old undergraduate education.
