In todays generation, a lot of performance drugs are being used in sports. Many people think that is cheating and they have an unfair advantage. The primary medical use of these compounds vary, but include treatment of cancer or aiding those born prematurely. The presence of an abnormal concentration of a hormone, its metabolites, relevant ratios or markers in your sample is deemed to contain a prohibited substance unless you can demonstrate the concentration was due to a physiological or pathological condition. Examples include human growth hormone, erythropoietin, insulin, human chorionic gonadotrophin , and adrenocorticotrophin. Despite the presence of some growth factors, platelet-derived preparations were removed from the List as current studies on PRP do not demonstrate any potential for performance enhancement beyond a potential therapeutic effect. Beta 2 is another type of drug. The primary medical use of these compounds is to treat conditions such as asthma and other respiratory ailments. Some studies have shown beta-2 agonists have performance enhancing effects when consistently high levels are present in the blood. There are many other types of drugs in the world are for good uses and bad uses. Many side effects will also happen to your body which also affect your health.
Effects to a male body may be: development of breast, shrunken testicles, impotence, reduction of sperm production, and get painful erections. Women may get: deeper voice, cessation of breast development, growth of hair on face, stomach, and upper back, and abnormal menstrual cycles. All of these drugs can be bought over the counter at a pharmacy. The effects of these drugs can either be long term or short term depending on what drugs you take and how much you use.
Drugs in sports are bad because they affect you physically and mentally without you even knowing it. The more and more you use them the more and more you depend on them. As you get older the more or less affect the drugs will have an affect towards the body mind and the way it works or thinks. The body may even take long to heal when you get a deep wound or an open cut. The immune system may start failing the body and cause the human to get sicker than they did before they started using the drugs.
