In addition, the organization has been designated by AARP as a Best Place to Work for Employees over fifty. I learned in ADM-315 Diversity in the Workplace, “attracting and retaining the best people as employees requires that organizations meet potential employees’ needs, show respect for them as individuals, and use multicultural skills in working with them” (Carr-Ruffino, 2009).
LCEC is a great company. We truly do offer great service to our customers. The relationship with my supervisor has been like no other, you can see the dedication. I learned in class ADM-303Administrative Theory & Practice a leader inspires dedication by example, doing whatever it takes to complete the next step toward the vision. By setting an example, leaders can demonstrate that there aren’t any nine-to-five jobs on the team.
I work in the Finance and Accounting Department as a Senior Customer Accounting Representative. When my co-worker retired after thirty five years, her responsibilities were handed over to me. There are areas of the job that need improvements. This made me think of class ADM-325 Compensation and Benefits, “How people are paid affects their behaviors at work, which affect an organization’s success” (Milkovich, Newman, & Gerhart, 2014).
The one process that particular caught me by surprise was, Abandoned Property. I thought about all the steps and what could be improved in the flow of this process, based on what I learned in ADM 412 Quality and Productivity class. "Process improvement" means making things better, not just managing crises. It is a way of looking at how we can do our work better.

AARP, a nonprofit organization has well over 35 million members by promoting values for people over the age of 50 years. They were marketing based off researching the member’s needs, wants, and values. Also, to meet the baby boomers’ needs and wants, AARP evaluated online media based off researching the marketplace. AARP has a competitive advantage by offering insurance plans and discounts on other products and services. They built a positive image based off their reputation of "the
Compensation Systems are combined rewards to employees for exchange for labor (Lippincott 2010). There are several different types of Compensation Systems, direct financial compensation, indirect financial compensation and non-financial compensation (Lippincott 2010). Direct financial compensation are wages, salaries, bonuses and commission. Indirect financial compensation are benefits such as leave time, retirement plans, training and employee services. Non-financial compensation are things such as employee recognition and a favorable working environment. I conducted interviews with three individuals from three different generations, the Baby Boomers and Generation X.

This strategy aims to employ workers from different backgrounds to provide tangible and intangible benefits for the business. The employers are the ones who control everything from the wage, promotions, incentives and the termination of the older counterparts. They are increasingly concerned about updated skills, physical demands, early retirement, and the cost of maintaining an older worker. Despite how employers may feel, companies cannot afford to neglect talent at any age. The employer should take advantage of the skills that the older employee posses, and carefully position them in jobs that matches their skill level as well as the job to be done. “Regardless of the change organizations make in the structure and functioning of the workplace of the future, it appears likely that older workers will play a crucial role (Hedge,Borman,& Lammlein, 2006). Different acts and laws are governed to respond to any discrimination against older employees in the workforce. Employment agencies, labor unions, local, state and Federal government are bound by these laws such as: Older Workers Benefits Protection Act (OWBPA); The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Older Americans Act (OAA), to name a few. Funds for service by the Congress are provided in forms of grants for various programs yearly. States, counties, and cities recognize the value of the servicing and are generous in providing additional funds, benefits and in-kind economic benefits too. Because area and state agencies on aging are doing very little in a way to use mass media to promote themselves, the aging network is probably missing a large number of disadvantage people who should be receiving services but who are unaware of them. Much more emphasis has been placed on tying together the federal services for the older workers, but it should not have taken a federal initiative to make states see

Operations – To work out the right layout and work flow process in the company. The manpower resource allocation is also critical in the situation on the right balance of resource to handle the production. If possible, adopt a hybrid model to handle the flexibility in the product nature, make both the production line being able to configure standard and customized so to reduce setup and changeover time and cope with the demands.
The most important value of BPM is transparency over the business. Transparency means obtaining a deep understanding of how the organization works which enables us to manage the complexity of organization effectively [11]. Business process models enables the process practitioners to achieve this by documenting: control flow (i.e., what we need to do and when), artefacts (i.e., what we need to work on either physical or electronic), and resources (i.e., who does the work either humans
Organizations are working hard in today’s world of business, not only to remain competitive, but also to focus on stability and structure. Employees are the backbone of an organization. It is becoming more important to offer quality HRM programs to staff, in order to support the retention of trained and experienced staff. Employees have always been concerned with salary however, there is a new focus emerging that looks at compensation as a whole entity. Monetary wages are now just as important as other benefits such as paid time off, medical and dental offerings and retirement. This paper will discuss the importance of the total compensation program which includes many aspects, not just salary. Attention must be paid to equal pay, pay
In large organisation, competition is not only in the market for goods and services but also for the quality of employees. As such, a large organization can only become attractive to the most skilled and high quality workers if it has an effective compensation and benefit plan. The key purpose of an effective compensation and benefit system is to provide employees with the right rewards for their work and right behavior in the workplace. Typically, organizational success is determined by the quality of employees an organization has. In turn, the organization can only attract such quality workers and maintain them through effective compensation and benefit
Job satisfaction includes challenging work, interesting job assignments, equitable rewards, competent supervision, and rewarding careers. The quality of work life and psychological rewards from employment are very important. It is doubtful, however, whether many of us would continue working were it not for the money we earn. This paper establishes the definition of compensation, overview of compensation philosophy, critical components of a compensation strategy, and an example of an effective compensation practice. This is the activity carried out by organizations that own production sites, and their performance has a major impact on product cost, quality, speed of delivery and delivery reliability, and flexibility [8]. As it is quite an important part of the supply chain, production needs to be measured and continuously improved. Suitable metrics for the production level are as follows. Order lead-time, the total order cycle time, called order to delivery cycle time, refers to the time elapsed in between the receipt of customer order until the delivery of finished goods to the customer. The reduction in order cycle time leads to reduction in supply chain response time, and as such is an important performance measure and source of competitive advantage [9]. It directly interacts with customer service in determining competitiveness. Range of product and services: According to [8] a plant that manufactures a broad product range is likely to introduce new products more slowly than plants with a narrow product range. Plants that can manufacture a wide range of products are likely to perform less well in the areas of value added per employee, speed and delivery reliability. This clearly suggests that product range affects supply chain performance. Effectiveness of scheduling techniques is another important measure of supply chain effectiveness. Scheduling refers to the time or date on or by which
