After graduating, my choice of career in recreational sports is the management of a Professional Tennis Club and Training center. I’m confident that with the masters degree in Recreational Sports management academics along with some practical experience, I will be able to get a job in the Tennis club environment. I understand that It will take me sometime to learn all aspects of managements and operations of a tennis club , But eventually I will reach the position of a manager. I would like to work in sports facility which is focused on one specific sport, because it gives a way to learn and develop skill in a less complicated environment. Tennis is one of the most recognized international sport, with many nationals and international competitions. I have played Tennis during my high school and community college. I really like tennis as a sports and have a good understanding of its rules and regulation. In addition, I follow the tennis tournaments such as US Open, Wimbledon, ATP tour , Davis Cup etc. Many parents register their kids for early training in tennis clubs to start their professional careers , while many amateur and professional tennis players need a well maintained facility for recreational play or training for competitions. But most importantly, this course has warned and advised me to be disciplined and avoid negligence in the field of recreational sports, because it can causes harm to other people as well as myself. This course has shown me ways to transfer risk through insurance and consent form, which is an important help, but it should not be over used or depended upon. I should do my duty to provide the safe, healthy and entertaining environment for the members of club and the staff. Finally, the lessons of this course can be applied to not just to a position for recreational sport manager, but any managerial job, where the safety, environment and interaction of the people is the primary concern.
Prince could also collaborate with local teaching pros to promote local junior play days and kids festivals. These particular marketing activities would create the potential for acquiring a tennis playing consumer for life at a young age and hopefully one loyal to the Prince brand. Market activities that Prince could employ to target casual/recreational players, those who play just for the fun of it, would be to utilize social media or in store message boards to match players up with other players with a similar skill level. They could also partner with local tennis facilities to arrange for special membership deals for their casual/recreational players. These types of customer service activities would provide a means for casual/recreational players to play more frequently; hopefully increasing the need for Prince’s

Therefore, Doherty and Chelladurai (1999) describe that racial diversity varies in different sports and sports organizations. In other words, there are sport organizations that value cultural diversity more than others do. Specifically, the selection policies of organizational recruitment as well as the sport’s feeder system manage racial diversity (Hanlon & Coleman, 2006). Whilst choosing a career path into sport management, there is consideration of race/ethnicity as well as gender (Cuneen & Sidwell, 2007; Parks & Quarterman, 2003; Scott, 1997) (cited in Barnes, 2014). Nonetheless, there is a shortage of research study in the management of sport, regarding racial diversity and ethnicity issues. Sport organizations do not hold ample amount of information or data regarding ethnicity and race in their information systems for management. According to Lapchick (2009) (cited inArmstrong, 2011), non-white people do not hold a stable role where they can help maintain the structures of sport management. Eventually, the stakeholders claim the presence of racial diversity, but dominating races are still present amongst sports organizations as well as professional

My love for tennis blossomed at the young age of eleven. During middle school my peers knew me as the boy who was remarkably talented at tennis and I savored that title. Butterflies floated throughout my youthful body whenever someone complimented me. As the years passed, my dad nurtured me into a top player. Before I knew it high school arrived and it was time to compete at a higher level. My excitement was out of this world, but I knew my dad could no longer push me forward and my future was up to me. However, the ego I developed over the years blocked what lie in front of me. I wasn’t looking at the bigger picture; the hard work demanded of me, teamwork, and the motivation to reach an ultimate goal. Throughout my four years of participating

Once a person decides on a sport management career, it needs to be determined which area he or she more specifically wants to go into based on his or her interests and abilities.
Honestly, coming into this class, I had no idea what to expect. I have never been in a sports management class, and honestly don’t know much about sports with the exception of baseball. All I knew coming into this class is that it was online, which was a benefit to me as in I’m a better learner when I get to work at my own pace. However, when I read the syllabus and figured out that this class would be mainly writing proposals on different topics, it began to worry me. The last time I had written an essay was my senior year of high school, so I knew I’d have to bring out some of the old knowledge to be able to write a quality paper again. Even though writing papers is a dislike of mine, these proposals turned out to be a good experience
