What resources are involved in legalized soft drugs in Amsterdam?
There are many resources involved in the market of soft drugs. Whether it be human resources or the plants itself. The use of cannabis products has been legalized ; every town has at least one “hash and coffee shop”, and the possession of less than 30 grams is not prosecuted by the police. In spite of the liberalization of the use of soft drugs, trafficking in cannabis products is still forbidden. Which has a great rise in the demand of better foreign plants that people desire hence raising the cost of the desired plant. Besides the possession of hash, the possession by addicts of hard drugs (an amount less than ½ gram of heroin, cocaine, or morphine) has been permitted. So even though there is legalized coffee shops there is still a need for hard drug dealers to sell those drugs. Legalized coffee shops does not diminish the need for corner drug dealers only in the case of marijuana and hash. The coffee shops are another resource to this way of society. There are somewhere between 350-600 coffee shops in and around Amsterdam each one employing who knows how many employees. There are also the other products they sell in the shops ranging from pipes and bongs to weed brownies and coffee. Other then the shops itself probably the main resource needed is the plant growers them self. Whether the plants come from Holland or another country this is a very marketable and profitable cash crop. Acres of land is needed to grow marijuana and hash which cost many to maintain. There is also workshops needed to produce the marijuana into the final product once it is cultivated from the ground.
In the Netherlands, there are no legal grounds for compulsory kicking the habit, or is kicking the habit considered to be a condition of extending aid to the users of illegal drugs. As the Dutch Minister of Justice put it in 1987:”In the Netherlands we give high priority to services directed primarily at improving the health and social functioning of the addict, without necessarily ending addiction, because a lot of addicts are not, or not yet, capable of kicking the habit. Addiction involves a lifestyle which cannot be changed easily and quickly”( Harrison ). Another resource of this culture is care facilities for addicts. They are charged with a great v...

Thomas Jefferson believed that a wall must be built separating church and state in hopes of protecting America’s religious liberty because of his views of human nature and good government, while President James Madison may have not supported how Jefferson went about it, he agreed with the notion that church and state should be separated. Taking a look into Jefferson’s past and how his views back then relate to his decisions, have made a difference. Between Jefferson and Madison, they grew more together than apart, but with different backgrounds in the same party, there were some disagreement. In his letter to the Danbury Baptists, Jefferson sends a request for the separation of church and state in hopes of rebuilding and making The United States
Jefferson once said to a friend, “Question with boldness even the existence of a god; because, if there be one, he must approve the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear (Portal).” Jefferson read his Bible often, and carefully sifted out Jesus’ “pure teachings” from the “conflicting accounts” he found in the New Testament. Jefferson’s problems with various scriptures in the Bible resulted in him creating his own version of the Bible. Jefferson would cut out parts of the Bible he agreed with and then would paste them onto the pages of a blank book. The result of Jefferson’s extraction is now known as the “Jefferson Bible” and is currently housed in the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. Jefferson’s Bible was not meant to be viewed by other people, it was simply meant for his family’s personal studies and beliefs (Onuf). Thomas Jefferson once made this statement to a friend regarding his extraction of the Bible, “I too have made a wee little book, from the same materials which I call the Philosophy of Jesus. It is a paradigm of his doctrines, made by cutting the texts out of the book, and arranging them on the pages of a blank book in a certain order of time or subject. A more beautiful or precious morsel of ethics I have never seen. It is a document in proof the I am a real Christian..”
The history of a Dental Hygienist is very riveting. This profession was first founded in 1913 by Dr. Fones when he created the first Dental Hygiene education program in Bridgeport, Connecticut. In 1906 Fones trained Irene Newman the basics, and she was then the first Dental Hygienist in the world. Later, the founding of the first Dental Hygienist training program, many more were founded. People that decide to become a Dental Hygienist for many reasons, and one is because it is listed to be the 5th out of the “100 best jobs” in 2015. Other reasons are because the “U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics” projects that the employment will grow to 33.3%
The First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States establishes religious freedom, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” Against the Constitutional background, Thomas Jefferson, a Founding Father, wrote a Bill for Establishing Religious Freedom. The Bill was passed in the Virginia General Assembly in 1777. However, Jefferson thought that it was not enough to have a Constitutional provision that debars Congress from establishing a religion for all; it was equally important to separate the Church from the state to allow Religious Freedom, so that each and every one will practice their religions freely without government restrictions. Thus, he opposed the interference of the state in religious practices. Secondly, Jefferson argued that if the state was allowed to interfere with the affairs of the church it will give the government the power to persecute those who oppose its policies. The man, whose ideas and ideals have been shaped by experience and practice,...
During the ensuing fight for independence during the American Revolution, Jefferson looked to the future and for a way of securing religious freedom as well. The growing dissent against the Anglican Church, by groups like Presbyterians and Baptists, found new numbers thanks to the Great Awakening, which raised religious zeal and succeeded in converting many people away from the Church of England. At least, the dissenters of the Anglican Church in Virginia had their growing numbers behind them at the start of the war, which they used to try and leverage full religious freedom for war support. Though they were partially successful in gaining some reform in marriage laws and tax reductions, they failed to gain full freedom from persecution, so Jefferson drafted a Bill for Establishing Religious Freedom, which failed to gain any traction in the Virginia State Assembly. The Assembly had a few issues related to the idea of full freedom of religion, which would allow the justification of any behavior no matter how depraved, but also the way Jefferson framed his argument using Enlightenment principles; His preamble read: “the opinions and belief of men depend not on their own will, but follow involuntarily the evidence proposed to their minds,” which the assembly
Fellow Founding Father Thomas Jefferson was exceedingly vocal about religious freedoms to be guaranteed to citizens which is initially expressed when he helped draft the Declaration of Independence. He believed that religion was a personal choice that should be free from government interference. Jefferson may have been motivated for religious freedom due to his distinct way of thought regarding the Christian theology. For instance, Jefferson held the Christian religion was corrupt from early on in its conception causing him to interpret the bible in an unorthodox way. (source) In fact, he began to clip passages and create his own bible but took away any miracles or supernatural interventions but kept moral teachings of Jesus. A project he kept to himself; allegedly to spare the heretic attacks on his character and to protect his political career.
If I had to pick an occupation, it would be a dental hygienist. When you’re a dental hygienist, you basically just clean the patient’s teeth and see if they have a gum disease. They maintain the teeth to be nice, clean, and healthy. They remove the plaque, the tartar, take x-rays, check to see if there’s a gum disease, and many more. They also apply things such as sealants to protect the teeth, record their findings of the patient’s teeth, and educate the patient about their hygiene on their teeth. Overall, being a dental hygienist is all about oral hygiene.

When most people think of dental hygienists, the first and only thing they think about it cleaning and whitening teeth. However, that is mainly what dental hygienists do, but they also learn to do a lot more than that. According the occupational outlook handbook, hygienists clean teeth, examine patients for signs of oral diseases such as gingivitis, and provide other preventative dental care. They also educate patients on ways to improve and maintain good oral health. As explained on American Dental Association, the dental hygienist...
Marijuana is the cause of much commotion and debating, as the question of legalization becomes more of an issue. Drugs are a major influential force in countries all over the world today. Robbins (2013) recognizes that baby boomers have an enormous hard-working attitude with a definitive want to characterize themselves through their expert achievements.
