Internet Security
Internet Security is the most important aspect of information technology. It has been years since computer has been invented and to keep the information confidential we have to safeguard this information. The importance of integrating security measures into systems development. Every business has their own security systems to reach their goals of information security. The computer world created security systems in order to reduce risk, maintain confidentiality, ensure the reliability of data resources, and compliance with national security laws and privacy policies and laws.
SECURITY STANDARDS
There are several types of standards when integrating security measures into new systems. Some companies developed their own application that has their own standards; others usually follow well-established national or international standards especially if the systems they developed are to be used by government agencies or contractors. Two major standards developed by the United States government and the other by the International Standard Organization. The U.S. used of the information security standard not only for businesses but also for our homeland security. Ever since the September 11 incident we have developed a tighter security for every branch of the government. The new standard is being used most especially for our military from the Internet worldwide and others has to follow. The most important one is the issuance of immigration visas. Our land, air and water transportation has been the first one to put this into action and intelligence officer’s tract criminal’s activities through these measures. These are the Standards from the Orange Book: Trusted Computer System Evaluation Criteria (TSE...

...rmation security but not people security. Sometimes people’s value diminished because of business. We are so lucky to have live in the United States of America knowing that our security is the first priority of our government. Through the use of information security our government was able to tract down some of the most dangerous people in the world who were also involved in the September 11 incident. We are the world’s leader in the military and democracy. To live in a secure world is to live in peace!

Elementary school, middle school, high school, college―that’s how we’re told our education careers should go. After college you go on and get a job based on the degree you received. Seems simple right? According to Erik Lowe in his Seattle Times article “Keep Washington’s College Tuition Affordable,” he informs that people in his generation are the first to be less educated than their parents, in the United States. He explains that this is due to the high cost of tuition followed by a huge amount of student loan debt. Lowe believes that there needs to be a significant change in the country’s higher education systems (in reference to the tuition costs) or the decline of college attendance will continue. There needs to be a decrease of college tuition because as it currently is, many people are unable to go to college due to the cost and if they do, they are loaded with debt and faced with the daunting task of finding a job.
In the sense of utilitarianism this outcome would be in consideration of the greater good for the entire population. Also, by having more affordable education it would not only benefit the parents who continue to support their children, but would give those who are less fortunate an opportunity to learn and grow as an intellectual. Furthermore, it provides a higher percentage of the population a chance to obtain a higher form of education which would expand the spectrum of professions that are current. For instance, as of now only 65.9% of graduating high school students are enrolled into college the following school
Overall the companies should care about the new standards because the business depends on the reliability of the infrastructure, and cyber intrusions have accrued repeatedly, so securing the connectivity between business systems and industrial control system within the companies networks should be a priority. Also, with a minor mistake injuries and death of civilians and damage to the environment could happen by releasing of hazardous chemicals and leading to a disasters.
How does the rising cost of college tuition affect us? Every year thousands of students attend a college or university, usually of their choice, with the goal of achieving a higher education and to better their future. The cost of attending college is too high and it needs to go down; there needs to be more scholarship and grant opportunities. The high cost of attending college is a major reason that students aren’t able to achieve higher education; others take this as a challenge and it is motivation for them to work harder to achieve their goal. One might ask why would someone want to spend money to receive more education and miss out on more years of work that they could’ve performed? For many, it is so they can receive more salary for the jobs that they will have later in life, also so that they can get training for their wanted career. The cost of attending college is high and continues to rise without indications of decreasing. The rising cost has many benefits such as earning more pay, but it also has its disadvantages such as the debt that is accumulated from student loans. Not everyone can afford to drop down thousands of dollars and attend school for a few more years. Students who wish to receive a post-secondary education must decide whether it is the right choice for them depending on their financial standpoint, meaning that they must decide if they have the resources to further their education.
The biggest decision students are facing nationwide is making the decision to go to college. Tamara Draut mentions how, depressing, the cost of tuition expand each year, making enrolling in a four-year institution practically exclusive to only the affluent. Draut does cover the topic of financial aid and how it aid the less fortunate but it doesn’t make higher edification any more affordable to the masses. Therefore, since the socioeconomic gap continuously grows, security for a middle-class student, which is earning a four-year degree, is now diminishing because of the expense to actually achieve the degree.
As college tuition prices continue to rise, it puts stress on all families worldwide who trying to put their children through school. Every parent wants their son or daughter to have the privilege of receiving a college education. However, the price of college makes this seem unobtainable for some families. Many families face the struggle that they not only have to put one child through school, but they may have to put two or three children through college. Therefore, this family will be spending outrageous amounts of money on college tuition each year. One college bill is expensive enough, never mind the thought of adding two or three college bills, at unreasonable prices to the list. For example, my parents will eventually have to put four children through college. My parents work exceptionally hard so that I will have the privilege of receiving a higher education. Middle class families receive very little financial compensation when it comes to college due to what their credentials look like on paper. With the cost of college rising and the lack of financial aid that middle class families receive, college continues to get more expensive and more difficult to afford. This is simply
... quickly discovering that maybe college isn’t the way. The American dream isn’t so dreamy. Student loan debts aren’t worth it when they could be better off without a college degree. The loans are destroying Americans hopes and ruining their lives. The government needs to remove it’s self from this and let the banks take over and compete with each other. It’s the only way to lower the tuition and costs of everything. The college degree is even losing its face value and hyperinflation is right around the corner. It’s time to wake up. College could be a good thing. Our government is too greedy to see it the way it needs to be handled an it is high time that anyone seeking a college degree look at College Degrees to determine if it really is worth the time and money and stop being indentured slaves paying on worthless degrees and a lifetime of paying on student loans.
There are so many students who would extremely grateful to attend any four year institution but can’t because of the lack of funds. College life can be very stressful, and the process can is very frustrating to most students the first two years. When the cost of college tuition is compared to the 21 century financial economy the cost does not make sense, because for a middle-class family it is impossible to afford sending their child to any four-year institution. It hard for students to graduate with the stress to pay-off hundreds and thousands of dollars in loans. Going to college is stressful enough without the need to worry about how we’re going to pay for it and what other costs will continue to rise with getting a degree afterwards. With the current increase of unemployment rate and the thought of going to college seems like a farfetched goal. Many people choice not to attend a four year institution, because they did receive a scholarship or enough government funding. Having a college background is very important for professional growth, it will eventually limit career opportunities. My stand point is, you may not leave college doing the same thing you began with but the life experience is endless. College experience not only gives knowledge that builds you into a better person by giving a broader erosion. With the cost of tuition increasing will hurt our generation, by causing physical and mental stress but in the end it will all pay off. Not all colleges are for the blame; some of the blame is our economy and other factors play a big roll. As students we need to be aware of all our resources offered, such as Pell Grants, and government scholarships. For example, the some states will pay for a student’s college if they graduate high school with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. There are many states that are willing to pay for all or some of college tuition only if students are willing to use
...e the potential to become great doctors, lawyers, businessmen, or even musicians/artists, but because they do not have the funds available to be properly educated in these fields, they are not able to pursue their dream careers. The biggest consequence that faces the middle class is that they have lost future potential because there isn 't enough money for some of these people to get the education they deserve in order to do great things.. There are still doctors and lawyers out here in the world trying to pay off their debts fifteen years or more after graduating, even though they have their high end job. When sitting at the bank, I overheard a 92 year old man say “I’m loan free now” as he signed his last check over to the bank. This portrays how loans are maleficent. Honestly, the best alternative to a financial aid plan would be to get injured on a college campus.
In Zoe Mendelson's essay “Paying For College,” she describes a friend who is having similar difficulties. Her friends' father describes their family as “in the nether region,” where his household income is “too much to qualify for substantial financial aid but not enough to pay that amount,” (Mendelson, 131). This is often one of the main issues middle class families face. For families like my own, who make a good living on paper- things are not quite what they seem. My...
From the time they enter high school, American students are conditioned to believe that pursuing a higher education is necessary to their success. Advanced classes and extracurricular activities are justified as being preparation for the future. However, as colleges continue to raise costs, it has become practically infeasible to expect young adults and their families to pay for an education out of pocket. Although student loans are available, they are extremely difficult to pay off quickly, so students are leaving school with thousands of dollars in debt, often without employment. Receiving a college education, a vital tool in today’s society, now presents an economic crisis to recent graduates in the form of student loan debt that threatens the financial security of the future workforce as well as the rest of the American population.
High school freshmen rarely, if ever, think about the future and what it takes to make a successful future. I, as a freshman, also never thought about what college I wanted to go to or what credits I needed to graduate. I really didn’t think the grades I earned in my first year of high school would follow me to my last day of college, or even beyond that into my next job. In all actuality, from your first paper you turn in during your first couple weeks of school, to your final graduation project your final year of college, grades matter.
In other words, they could go to college for better education. The cost of higher education is substantially growing in the recent years, which include both state universities and private universities. Due to a rapid increase in tuition fees, some young students drop out of college because they are not able to find a job to pay off their loans after graduation. However, it is difficult to accept those high tuition fees for low-income families. Most of low-income families have more than two children, which cause a financial burden for the families. In the article “Higher Education’s Coming Crisis” Robert Zaller states that “President Obama has fired a shot across the bows of higher education in warning that if college costs continue to go up, government subvention will go down.” which means if college do not cut tuition fees, more students cannot go to college. Even if some students who graduate from high school would prefer to make money early rather than achieve a college degree. The loan to students could effectively be solved the tuition fee issue, which could contribute to completing their college education first and then paying the cost after
The first thing that we must consider about Information Security is that there is not a final destination at which we can arrive. IT Security is an ongoing set of processes and activities that requires attention and expertise on a daily basis. It is important to understand that systems are not secured by themselves and it is our responsibility to maintain and improve them periodically as required. It is of vital importance to establish the appropriate mechanisms and requirements in order to support the company’s CIA triad. The following report will provide you guidance about auditing and hardening techniques applied though the 7 Domains by utilizing IT Security Best Practices.
My aims are to require my evidence that will show me to understand of broad range of my learning outcomes in my project brief.
