Introduction
This assignment makes us identify our personal and professional skill and would help us on how to archive organizational and personal goals. As a manager/ Leader in a company we first need to analyze our skills and the ability to manage ourselves. The study will be discussed under 3 sections;
1. Elaboration on Self assessment and self development
2. Define self-development tool kits and Assessment of my current skills and issues
3. Develop a personal development plan (PDP).
Under section 1, self assessment and self development will be defined along with the importance of them for a manager in a corporate environment. Section 2 will be used to identify our own self through a SWOT analysis, which details out personally and professionally and the importance of getting feedback from others through the Johari Window Model. Section 3 will help us understand where we stand when it comes to our current state of self, knowledge, role and skills compared to our future personal goals and objectives.
Self assessment and Self development
Self-assessment is the process of analyzing ourselves to evaluate the factors that are important to achieve goals in our lives. (Sedikides, 1993) suggests that self-assessment will help people to know more about their uncertain parts in life. Also at the same time people use self-assessment to enhance their certainty of their own self-knowledge. By developing self awareness (Assessing our selves) we can gain control over ourselves in many weak areas in our lives.

Conclusion
Right throughout this study we can take points to help us improve and reach our career goals and help us reach our capacity to take any sort of challenges professionally and personally.
Speaking and taking initiative to conduct meetings are excellent ways to show off ourselves on our expertise so that we could shine among the best in the industry so that the market demand for me could be higher. Also since I have figured out that innovation in technology is one of key strengths, I can always be on the lookout for new ways to contribute toward the company im working for.

In order to understand how one perceives situations and how they can determine the way one communicates; we first must understand the value of self-concept. Self is easily defined; it is one's beliefs, attitudes, feelings and values. It is who one is and what one stands for. Self-concept, is a relevantly stable set of perceptions and emotional states. It is the way one sees and understands oneself, and contributes to how one perceives oneself and perceives situations. One's self-concept may alter their perception, and either enhance or impede one's communication effectiveness. The way one sees oneself can influence the way they see their social surroundings. Only after one become aware of oneself can they be aware of their physical and social surroundings, which will allow one to perceive situations and people with a truer idea and create a more positive outcome.
In this report, I will reflect on my professional development throughout this module, from when I started in September, to now. According to Beausaert et al. (2011), ‘the art of self-evaluation is an integral element of reflection and involves critical insight into understanding one 's strengths and limitations’. Therefore, my aim is to identify my learning needs and to recognise my personal skills and capabilities, as well as identifying areas of my skill set that need to be refreshed or extended to stand out in the competitive job market. According to a “Fuel My Motivation” article (2010), this analysis considers internal influences that can positively or negatively affect our ability to achieve our goals. The internal factors are our strengths and weaknesses. Also considered are opportunities and threats, which are external influences that can have a positive or negative impact on the ability to achieve our goals. I will share how the self-assessment instruments and self-exercises in this course have contributed to assessing and understanding my strengths and weaknesses.
