Mergers and Acquisitions: The Real Hisory of How Twitter was Created

Twitter started from a group effort back in March 2006 (Carlson, 2011). The real history of how Twitter was created is by an individual named Noah Glass. He is an entrepreneur and started the Odeo, which is a product where a person can call a phone number and it would turn to a MP3 message. There were speculations if Evan Williams was the creator of Twitter, but the actually creator is Noah Glass. Evan Williams was a former Google employee who was an investor of Odeo and heavily involved with the program and eventually move the startups program to his old apartment. Later on, moving toward the inventions of Twitter, there were other people like Web designer Jack Dorsey; Engineer Blaine Cook; and German contract developer Florian Weber.
By July 2005, there was a situation where Apple announced iTunes and it include the podcasting platform, such as the Odeo program (Carlson, 2011). When Apple came with this invention it killed the Odeo product in the business. So Odeo future was not in podcasting and then they came up with ideas to start twitter. The system would send a text to one number and it would broadcasted out to all friends as Twttr. They all agreed that Noah predominantly came up with the project to be started and Blaine Cook called Noah the “spiritual leader” behind Twitter (Carlson, 2011).
Circumstances for Merger (TweetDeck)
Twitter has merged three different companies into their corporation thus far. There are circumstances that are involved in merging these companies and reasons for doing so. The three companies twitter acquired are Vine, Bluefin Labs and Spindle Labs. According to (Said, 2013), Twitter most significant purchase was paying 40 million dollars to buy TweetDeck.
