It is so obviously clear that technology is taking over and running our life. Technology is everywhere and is having massive negative effects on our social wellbeing in today’s society. Basic essential skills now being googled as this knowledge is now untaught or forgotten leaving us terribly deficient in basic survival skills. Social media now also gaining thousands of new users to impress and socialize every second online with instead of having face to face conversations with someone in real life. Bullying and trolling also now on the rise with ability to appear as anonymous and face no consequences, with new technology being more and more part of actual living instead of being just a desired object.
With the new advancements in technology in today’s society it literally encourages people to be reclusive, allowing you to not even leave your house to get food. All you need to do is shop online and get it delivered to your door-step, as easy as a click of a finger….You could live in your house forever if you wanted with the advancements in technology these days. I think things like online clothes and food shopping has now raised a major issue of many people now having problems with basic social skills and social interaction when coming face-to-face with people in real life. There has even been psychologist from California state University, Los Angeles and U.C.L.A look into it and they said ''initial qualitative evidence is that the ease of electronic communication may be making teens less interested in face to face communication with friends'' this giving us stone cold evidence that there is now a concern that many people in the near future will be doing more online than they will be in real life, now that technology is a mere e...

Overall I believe that the internet has a negative effect on today’s society, there is now floods of people not using the internet for the better these days. The internet can open up a whole new world and opportunities for us. However the vast majority of people prefer to retreat to one tiny corner of it, social media. Many also make the error of becoming addicted to it, allowing it to take over and control their life, letting it push away friends and become dependent on it
