Every Sunday in churches across America, kids hear this story of a special man in the Bible- Jesus. They hear the famous story of this miracle man who healed people and rose from the dead. Sounds like an important person, right? Well, besides the miraculous stories taught in Sunday school and his impact on today’s religion, Jesus actually had and still has a major influence on today’s society too. Jesus was an influential person because of his impacts on religion, culture, and history by his religious preachings and followers.
Jesus was very influential in religion. When asked about who Jesus was, most Americans start on the same topic- the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. This miraculous tale of the Son of God is told everywhere, but the origin of the religion it represents had a very different start. Jesus is regarded as the founder of Christianity. But why? Jesus was crucified, yes, but for what? This will be discussed later in this research paper, but according to the official King James Holy Bible (The King James Version Holy Bible, John 2-13 – Mathew 27-56); Jesus in fact was arrested for treason after trashing the stalls of merchandise in a temple, because he thought it was corrupting. Crucifixion was a common punishment in those days for treason, but the exact

reason of his crucifixion biblically is because he had run and his from authorities until Judas turned him in to a Roman soldier on bribery. And thus he was crucified, religiously to purify the sins of all people and allow all into Heaven, but it is also in connection to the religious Resurrection that this story is told. From here Christianity was started. If not for Jesus though, the religious shoot of Christianity fro...

Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Savior, the Son of God, the Lord. Whatever you call him, he was undoubtedly one of the most important and controversial men in the recent history of the world. And at the basis of his importance was his crucifixion and resurrection. But what if this had never happened? What if he wasn’t crucified? If Jesus of Nazareth had died of natural causes instead of crucifixion; then world religious, political, and social structure would be entirely different. But why?
Jesus’ teachings created the religion of Christianity. Though Christians were persecuted during the beginning of time in which they began to spread, many factors helped to shape Christianity into the popular religion it is today. Christianity was able rise from just a Jesus ministry to a popular religion with the help of martyrdom, missionaries, governmental support and Jesus himself.
Christianity developed with Jesus of Nazareth (6 BCE- 29 CE). He was born during the reign of Augustus Caesar. He practiced Christianity from 26 CE to 29 CE. He was the Son of God and the Redeemer of all Mankind. The Romans viewed him as someone “rocking the boat” with what was already a nation of the religiously obsessed. Eventually h...

Many subjects have been spoken of over the history human beings. For some time it may have a world war, at other times a great recession, in another day it would have been a very fast athlete, at others the final match of Champions League and many more. Yet in all these occurrences that grip the human mind for some time there is no occurrence more spoken than the crucifixion of a man called Jesus Christ (Zugibe 33). His crucifixion has even been a study for the entire lifetime of many people. Institutions have been built primarily for the purpose of studying this crucifixion. Some have said this crucifixion has changed their lives. Others have retorted that it has lifted off their worries. It is widely known and embraced. However, aside from all this, with all the goodness this man Jesus Christ is preached to have, many wonder why he would be killed on a cross.
Jesus of Nazareth (ca. 6 B.C.E-ca. 29 C.E.) was the Jewish preacher responsible for the establishment of Christianity. With much respect to the Jewish scriptures, Jesus preached his own opinions on religious matters such as Sabbath observance, food laws, and ritual purity. Ultimately, the spread of these opinions was the impetus for his arrest and crucifixion upon his arrival in Jerusalem. Although deemed as an agitator by many, many Jews believed that Jesus was indeed the Messiah mentioned in the Old Testament. Jesus emphasized the importance of loving God and fellow human beings so that his followers could prepare for the “coming” of the kingdom of God. Christianity, now the world’s most practiced religion, originated from the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth and will continue to have a significant impact on the modern world.

When Jesus visited Jerusalem around 29 AD, he found enthusiastic crowds greeting him as the messiah. However he was arrested for not worshiping pagan Roman gods and was sentenced to death on a cross. While he was hanging awaiting death he forgave those who had killed him and those who had worshipped him the day before were denying him. After his crucifixion he was placed in a tomb, on the third day he rose, and greeted his followers, further convincing them that he was the messiah.
According to Christianity, God sent His son, Jesus,to the world to spread His message. In Christianity Jesus has a very important role and through his parables God’s word is spread. Jesus used a sermon and several parables to create a core ethical system that explained God’s real nature, directed how His people must live, and warned of the consequences of failing to follow these teachings.

Jesus Christ was, as the Christians believe, the supposed Messiah, or anointed one. This differentiated them from the Jews who do believe that Jesus Christ was the Messiah. Around 30 CE, Jesus Christ was killed, and rose three days later. To many this act sealed him as the Messiah, son of God. The religion spread due to the expansion of Christian empires, the crusades, and the religious teaching of Peter and Paul, who took it upon themselves to travel around the world and spread the teachings and miracles of Jesus Christ. The Christian faith celebrates Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ, Easter, the day he rose from the dead, and Saints’ Days, which celebrates the lives of saints such as Patrick and Valentine. Christianity originated in the Southern Levant, like Judaism (“Just”). Through the conversion of emperors, Christianity set up a geographic stronghold within the expanses of the Roman Empire and then later the Byzantine Empire (“Rome”). The social conditions surrounding the birth and spread of Christianity were of war. A massive philosophical uprising took place. The majority of the world at the time did not accept Jesus Christ as the Messiah, so tens of thousands of devout men took it upon themselves to spread his influence and to kill those who did not accept him as their savior. Christianity evolved through the rapid expansion of its community. Those who preached against him were persecuted and killed. Through trade routes and expansion of Christian empires, Christianity
