The world is standing on the brink of great social changes, technological and cultural innovations. Deployment of technology affects all aspects of social life. Significant changes occur in the whole structure of culture and modern civilization. Currently we are witnessing a new level of development of human society with the trend of globalization in all spheres of human activity. In order to be able to find our place in this new transformed world, we need to understand the nature and direction of change, which leads to globalization, particularly in the field of business communications. So, what are the causes of the process called globalization? It is hard to find the clear answer to this question, as the development of international integration has been observed throughout the world since the mid of the XIX century multiples times. However, majority of the times these processes were shut down by different political, economic and social obstacles. Is the current phenomena of globalization is a direct continuation of the internationalization of capital, the beginning of which was assigned to XVI and XVII centuries by the French historian Fernand Braudel? The process, he called the birth of a "global economy" around the centers of establishing European capitalism: England, Genoa, Holland. (Braudel) Globalization is a multi-structural process, established by multiplication and complication of social relations. As the result it leads to an international integration, particularly in the field of economics, engineering, technology, information, politics, law, management, and the emergence of some kind of mutually dependent and interlinked complex system. (Kottak, 26) This system begins to function as a single organism with its ow... ... middle of paper ... ...nternet is a global non-state controlled communication tool. Because it provides enormous opportunities, it plays a key role in the development of the specifics of business communications. The impact of globalization on the communications in business, in the postindustrial society, features not only positive trends, that use the knowledge as a principle mean of exchange and development, but also the negative trends in the further exacerbation of contradictions - destabilization in the development of state institutions with low levels of economic development, the growth of multinational corporations and their influence on the world, indicating the incompleteness of the development process of post-industrial society, and the need in creation of a sustainable model and regulation of negative trends that may harm the further development of business and the world economy

Globalization is a series of social, economic, technological, cultural, and political changes that promote interdependence and growth. Globalization raises the standard of living in developing countries, spreads technological knowledge, and increases political liberation. Harris 5-23. Globalization has several definitions, as Andrew McGrew underlines it. He uses four different ones in order to get a more complete definition. In this way globalization is defined as ‘the intensification of worldwide social relations which link distant localities in such a way that local happenings are shared by events occurring many miles away and vice versa’, ‘the integration of the world-economy’, the ‘de-territorialisation – or growth of supraterritorial relations between people’ and finally as ‘time-space compression’ (Giddens, 1990, p. 21, Gilpin, 2001, p. 364, Scholte, 2000, p. 46, Harvey, 1989, cited in Mc...
Many historians and sociologists have identified a transformation in the economic processes of the world and society in recent times. There has been an extensive increase in developments in technology and the economy as a whole in the twentieth century. Globalization has been recognized as a new age in which the world has developed into what Giddens identifies to be a “single social system” (Anthony Giddens: 1993 ‘Sociology’ pg 528), due to the rise of interdependence of various countries on one another, therefore affecting practically everyone within society.
Globalization is a broad concept and the angle taken to define it can lead us to interpret the idea in many different ways. There is much controversy about what globalization actually means and many definitions fail to encompass social, cultural and technological exchanges between world systems. John Pilger suggests that "it is a jargon term which journalists and politicians have made fashionable which is often used in a positive sense to denote a 'Global village' of free trade, hi-tech marvels and all kinds of possibilities that transcend class, historical experience and ideology." (J.Pilger 1998:63). Taking a broader point of view, Bilton et al defines globalization as "The process whereby political, social, economic and cultural relations increasingly take on a global scale, and which has profound consequences for individuals, local experiences and everyday lives."
Businesses are now able to approach overseas markets, they are no longer confined to their areas of establishment. Business today is inextricably intertwined with technology, from the smallest home office, to a multinational corporation with multiple monolithic legacy applications. It is impossible to be in business today without confronting the issues of technology. The way we do business today is different than 30 years ago. Technology has evolved around the areas of telecommunications, travel, stock markets, shipping and even around our daily lives.
After the cold war, word ‘globalization’ was commonly used at a time of unprecedented interconnectedness when advanced nations experienced a ruthless development by exploiting energy resources and stressing culture forms in developing countries. To identify the definition of ‘globalization’, it is significant to clarify its appearance as well as implication.
Globalization can briefly be defined as ‘something’ that affects and changes the traditional arrangements of the state system. It is a term that directly implies change and therefore is a continuos process over a long period of time as compared to quickly changing into a wanted or desir...
Globalization was derived from colonialism to control over previously colonized nations, and the way it did so was through the creation of the World Bank in 1945. Globalization is defined in Steger's book as, "the expansion and intensification of social relations and consciousness across world-time and world-space" (Steger 15). Globalization included numerous aspects but one that had heavily influence countries across the world was the World Bank, previously known as The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The World Bank was created during the Bretton Woods Conference, a t...
Communicating with anyone in the world continues to get more efficient every single day. Technology has made communicating faster and in better quality. Business meetings can now be held with people anywhere in the world, at any time during the day, over a video call. Business people are also using email so much more than they are the telephone because of the efficiency. People do not answer a phone call when they do not know the number that is calling them. People will answer an email much faster than calling back a person who has left a voicemail for them.
Effective communication abroad can be difficult to achieve because of the lack of understanding between different cultures. But there are many companies out there who are effectively promoting their products in multiple countries. So, how do they do it? To be able to communicate abroad takes excellent leadership skills from multiple parties.
Over the last couple of years, the world has become increasingly globalized. After the cold war, all parts of the world were attracted to the process of globalization. The effect of globalization is uneven in different parts of the world and globalization suggests a world full of persistent cultural interaction and exchange, contacts and connection, mixture and movement. Different people view globalization in different ways. Some people feel it has done more good than harm, while others believe it has done more harm than good. This essay will give a deep intuitive understanding of globalization, world systems, and how globalization has affected society, culture, economics, and politics.
Globalization is the connection of different parts of the world. Globalization results in the expansion of international, cultural, economic, and political activities. As people, ideas, knowledge, and goods move easily around the globe, the experiences of people around the world become more similar. (“Definition of Globalization“, n.d., ¶ 1)

Communication is a critical thing in today’s society because the exchange of information is vital in living. People live both locally and globally through technological connections by maintaining contact and interaction between individuals from all corners of the world. Communication binds people, helps maintaining the society healthy and enables people to interact and make friends from different regions and cultures.
