A movie that came out in 2002 was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. This movie was based off the best-selling novel, which was written in 1997 by J.K. Rowling, called Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. If you were to read this book and watch the movie you would find many differences, but the main difference between the two is that the book gives more information to the reader than the movie gives to the viewer. If someone was to watch the movie instead of reading the book, that person would not be able to have an accurate perception of the book because so many things in the book are changed in the movie or parts are left out of the movie completely. This is mainly because the book has more characters and chapters, which are able to keep the reader informed and interested. Still, the movie is shorter so that people who want a quick summary of the storyline can get it,

The book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, had many characters that the movie didn’t. Some of these characters include: Peeves, Irma Prince, Piers Polkiss, Professor Binns, Augusta Longbottom, Hermes, Pomona Sprout, Madam Malkin, Ronan, Terry Boot, Padma Patil, Hannah Abbott, Narcissa Malfoy, Lucius Malfoy, and Bane. Peeves is a poltergeist and in the book he had a very important role of being a nuisance to students and teachers by throwing water balloons at them and making rude comments towards them. By not including Peeves in the movie the story line was somewhat changed because there were many scenes in which Peeves played an important role. Some of these scenes include the part where Peeves yelled to Argus Filch (the caretaker) that students were out of bed and were supposed to be given a detention. ...ior to all. This part is a great way of showing how some characters in the wizard world are evil, but the movie does not include this and shows Draco as an evil character at school.

The book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone differs from the movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in many ways. Most of these differences include characters and scenes. The two ways to discover this Harry Potter adventure are to either read the book or watch the movie. In fact, a person would want to read the book if they wanted the entire perception of the story and all of the information inside; whereas, a person would want to watch the movie if they wanted a rough sketch of the story. The two have dissimilarities but the person choosing to read the book or watch the movie is in charge of what they want to have. That is, the entire story or just a rough sketch of the story.
