Global Warming

Global warming has many pro’s or people who believe global warming exists not because it is a good thing. People who believe global warming exists and want to fix the problem as soon as possible because it may cause a catastrophe. Al Gore and the IPCC are the main people who believe global warming may change our lives and sometimes create an illusion that it is our fault. There are many examples that it may be so like a hot summer in Edmonton, no negative temperature days in Glasgow, Montana however, other phenomenon like record snowfalls contradicts the existence of global warming. Even still many more occurrences that suggest global warming is real are: a 1998 heat wave in Florida, 1999 heat waves that set record highs, thawing permafrost in Alaska, sea ice receding by 5-6 percent, coral reef bleaching, more frequent and larger wildfires, polar bear population receding, and fewer days of ice cover in northern lakes. Europe has been stuck with heat waves that have been deadly. Towns near the ocean are being effected by rising sea level. Al Gore and the IPCC They have made organizations to reduce greenhouse gasses in an attempt to stop global warming. In a source it says: “The IPCC’s worst case scenario is the temperature rising 7.2 degrees Fahrenheit and the sea level rising 10 to 23 inches” (Hoven). Even if this occurred it would not affect us very much. It is not worth spending up to two trillion on to fix like many are proposing to congress. The two trillion would go to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. It costs two trillion because it costs money to fix things that make greenhouse gasses and to make them not emit as much or to not emit any at all. Our emissions of greenhouse gasses are in different categories including trans...
