In the article of Existence of God, the article describes the distinction between existence and essence on weather or not God exists or ever existed. The argument resembles more on cosmological arguments of Thomas Aquinas, then the ontological argument of Anselm. The argument persuades the existence of God can be separated from the essence of God, but the argument goes on to argue if God exists or never existed. The argument clearly states that God exists by giving examples, such mountains and valleys, which cannot in anyway be separated from the other. In order for the something to work there has to be purpose behind certain being or thing that works as the purpose of those actions. I agree with the points that this argument is making that everything has purpose behind the action that are happening around us or even besides us. Imagination of a horse with wings, I can as well imagine that, but I cannot prove that a horse that I seen has wings and can fly, but with the existence of God I surely can prove that everything that happened had a purpose for them to happen, and that the prove of God, such as the evolution, living species that appeared on this planet that was once not habitable with had no oxygen, neither atmosphere for living species to survive. There is no proof of how these species appeared, but there is one being that did all of this, and it was mighty God that we all think about, and talk about everyday in our lives. I can imagine a horse with wings, but I cannot prove it that it really has wings; I have the power to imagine. But with the existence of God I can because everything that was created has purpose behind them, and that is exactly the evolution.

My whole opinion on the article Existence of God, it resembles around cosmological arguments, which I myself agree as well, with my personal experiences and proofs that cosmological theory gives, I believe that God was the creator of everything I have right now. As of the imagination of a horse with wings, I have the power to imagine, but I cannot prove it that there is such thing as horse with wings. With the creation of everything I have right now, the evolution, appearance of living species on a planet that once did not have any chance of survival, this is the prove that God really does exists. Everything happens for a reason, every action has a purpose behind it for it to act it that certain way, and this is where this article hits the mark on the existence of God, proving the cosmological arguments of Thomas Aquinas.

Humans can never know for the certain why the universe was created or what caused it but, we can still create arguments and theories to best explain what might have created the universe. The cosmological argument is another idea to prove the existence of god. Many philosophers debate wheatear the cosmological argument is valid. The cosmological argument starts off quite simply: whatever exists must come from something else. Nothing is the source of its own existences, nothing is self-creating []. The cosmological argument states at some point, the cause and effect sequence must have a beginning. This unexpected phenomenal being is god. According to the argument, god is the initial start of the universe as we know it. Though nothing is self-creating cosmological believers say god is the only being the is self –created. Aquinas, an Italian philosopher, defended the argument and developed the five philosophical proofs for the existence of god knows as, the “Five Ways”.[]. In each “way” he describes his proof how god fills in the blanks of the unexplainable. The first way simply states that, things in motion must be put in motion by something. Truth, what is truth? This question itself has a thousand answers, no person can ever be sure of what truth is rather, truth can be justified, it can checked for reliability with strong evidences and logic. If the evidence proves to be accurate then it can be established that a certain answer is the truth. However, have we ever tried to think about what intrigues us to seek the truth? To think about a question and set foot firmly on the path of knowledge. Definitely it has! That was the very cause itself which is why this world has witnessed some of the greatest philosophers like Aristotle, Plato and Socrates etc. along with the school of thought. The ability to think and reason is one of the greatest ability humans have, it is what distinguishes us from the animals. It is what gives us free will, the ability to control our own outcomes. Dr. William Lane Craig supports the idea of existence of God. He gives six major arguments, in order to defend his position. The first argument is quite fare, Craig says that God is the best reason of existence of everything. He gives the idea, that the debates between all the people, cannot reach the compromise, because the best explanation of the reasons of existence of everything is God, and nothing can be explained without taking Him into consideration. God can be defined as a being conceived as the perfect, omnipotent, omniscient originator and ruler of the universe, the principal object of faith and worship in monotheistic religions (1). There are many people that do not believe in any religion. People who do not believe in a religion have no reason for believing in a God. People who do not believe in a God and argue against the existence of God are proving something that is completely false. There is a God for numerous reasons.
Thomas Aquinas uses five proofs to argue for God’s existence. A few follow the same basic logic: without a cause, there can be no effect. He calls the cause God and believes the effect is the world’s existence. The last two discuss what necessarily exists in the world, which we do not already know. These things he also calls God.
Anselm’s Ontological argument is insufficient in proving that God exists. For the reasons above and further objections from various philosophers, I do not believe that Anselm can argue the existence of God with his current premises as they stand. I must say that despite my objections to Anselm’s Ontological argument, I respect his work done, and the tremendous thought process that must have occurred to conjure up such a case as was presented. It is definitely much easier to prove a mortal wrong than it is to prove the existence of something so great and so unknown. Anselm’s Ontological argument while intriguing does have some problems in my opinion that take away from its validity; but needless to say it is in and of itself quite astounding.

I have also learned that believing He exist, makes me understand more about His existence, just like what St. Anselm said. I believe that believing He exists, is what makes Him exist.
