Environment and sustainable development, 2012 Molonglo valley development, Act government, Act, accessed 27 March 2014, .
This document is about how the ACT government is developing the Molonglo valley, the first stage that they are now building are the suburbs of Coombs, Wright and North Weston, they are aiming to accommodate up to 9,000 people. The second stage will be to the north of Stromlo forest park and to the east of the national arboretum, this area will contain shops, including home wear stores and restaurants, making it the centre of the Molonglo valley housing 18,000 people, the planning has been started for the third section of the Molonglo Valley area this last section hopes accommodate 28,000. This document also states how the Molonglo Valley helps Canberra’s ability to maintain cultural and ecological values. This source helps people to understand the future urbanisation of Canberra and gives detail on each aspect of the project. This document however does not say the types of accommodation, e.g. flats, town houses and houses. This source appears credible due to the fact that what it says is actually happening, and because it is a government site.

In 1900, Pyrmont was an important port and industrial area, with a population of almost 30 000 people. There was a wide range of industries and services present including wharves, dockyards, warehouses, abattoirs, wool stores, railway yards and even an incinerator for the disposal of Sydney’s waste. It was deemed a working-class suburb with a predominantly Irish/Catholic population. As the income for Pyrmont was only modest, semi-detached cottages were the most common type of housing present. In the 1960’s however, Pyrmont-Ultimo was deteriorating at a fast rate and became an unfortunate example of urban decay.
I think that this source is reliable because it is from a website that has been created by the government intended to inform the general public about the use of drugs, and therefore it is unlikely to give out false information.
It is a magazine article in McClure’s Magazine, and an excerpt from the book, The History of the Standard Oil Company. 3. Is it a primary or secondary source?
No, the authors seems to be true to their words. They each have credible backgrounds.
...ticle, I decided to choose a topic that many people were concerned about approximately one year ago. As it says in the article, the world was never going to come to an end, and people had nothing to worry about. Despite evidence being presented from some very credible sources people will worry no matter what experts say, it’s just human nature. This source was a good source to use to sum everything up that I had learned from my previous sources. The information in the article was peer reviewed, therefore I believe that the article was a credible source of information. The information was presented in a clear and direct manner and in no way confusing. The information provided in this source fits fairly well with my topic. Overall it was a worthwhile source for my subject and I would definitely use articles and sources published by Sarah McCarry again in the future.
Sacramento is a bustling city with a diverse population and a city structure to match. In the last few decades the growth and development within our area has grown exponentially, land that was completely vacant fields and farmland has been replaced with shopping centers and freeways, expanding with the population increase in recent years. With the fast-track building of these areas before the economic collapse, more areas were developed than can currently be filled, which unfortunately has left many new buildings empty and lots paved for new construction or parking lots left unused. This is in addition to the expansion of roads and freeways in an attempt to relieve the traffic congestion that comes from rapid urban growth.

...r reading this article will not be persuaded by her writing since it is emotion based, and not factual. The support that she brings is very specific, she does not have any general information. By including more supporting references, the author would have created a stronger and more believable article.
Are assertions in the source based on reliable evidence? Are sources cited? How are you able to tell? They do list where they get their info from within the paragraphs or quotes.

To date, many countries all over the world have major issues such as economical, religious or political problems. These issues lead people to move to other countries. Australia is one of the most coveted country. Most of the people around the globe would like to live in this amazing and big country. In fact, according to the “ABS (resident population of Australia at 30 June 2016 was 24,127,200 people)”. Due to the fact that, the population keep growing it could cause many environmental problems. There are at least three reasons why Australia’s population should not be growing which is overcrowding of the cities, air pollution and economic problems.
These environmental concerns tie in greatly with the cultural and racial clash of the twenty first century. As people continue to migrate from areas that can no longer support the growing population you have ...
It is a safe assumption to make that our society’s population is not one that will be slowing down anytime soon. To date, according to the U.S. Bureau of the Census the United States population is projected to be 290,634,727 people, with a net gain of one person every 11 seconds, and though this may seem quite large it is only a mere 1/25th the world population, which currently is around 6.5 billion people. With large numbers like these and an outlook for continuous growth, it must be taken into concern that at some point, the U.S. and the world as a whole is going to reach its carrying capacity, a point at which the resources in an environment can no longer support a greater population. Though this may still be hundreds of years away, by addressing energy consumption and depletions concerns now we can prolong and prepare for that date as best as possible.
There are various systems in handling population rates and its various issues that connect with threatening our environment. The population and environment debate will forever be a back and forth problem because there is possibly no way to completely stop carbon emissions but ease its production. To help the environment, we must incorporate all potential solutions in governing population such as family planning and governmental involvement and practice renewable resources and stop on using nonrenewable resources, as well as ways to tackle overconsumption to support our corrupting environment.
