Before Under Armour cotton shirts filled with sweat all-over used repeatedly every game underneath their pads was essential for every footballer. The problem is with this is that you feel really uncomfortable with this and you might not play your A game in the process.
A college footballer named Kevin Plank captain of the University of Maryland special team thought about this and wanted to change the way Athletes dressed forever. After canvassing some garments from the fabric stores in Maryland he built a prototype he called #0037.
He then distributed his prototypes to his teammates and his friends who are in the NFL to hear their opinions on the product. After making a few alterations to the said prototype he made sure that the t-shirts were comfortable for the players to whatever weather conditions they come across with.
Armed with an exemplary t-shirt on his hand he opened his office in the basement of his grandmother and went all over the East Coast to introduce his product to different athletes and sports equipment managers all over.
He made his first sale 12 months later to Georgia Tech amounting to $12,000 and the rest is all history with him now expanding his product line from footwear to woman’s clothing line Under Armour is now a force to be reckoned with.

Since the 1970’s Urban Outfitters INC. has produced a wide selection of clothing brands for the younger generation. Urban Outfitters INC. includes Free People, BHLDN, Anthropologie, Terrain and Urban Outfitters. The beginning of Urban Outfitters INC. started out in Philadelphia for college students, their fun loving affordable clothing appealed to students who were living under a college budget. It’s known for its “hipster” and “free thinking” clothing that would appeal to the younger generation. However in present day it seems as if the original purpose of Urban Outfitters INC. has been lost. The prices of clothing at Urban Outfitters and at their sister stores has increased drastically to where college students can barely afford it. Throughout the recent years Urban Outfitters INC. has found itself in multiple issues that effects the sales of their stores. For instance being reprimanded for their designs, being sued for stolen designs and having a president who supports anti-gay polictians. Considering all the negative aspects to Urban Outfitters and the loss of their traditional purpose Americans should not support Urban Outfitters Inc.
