Tupac Shakur was born on June 16 1971 and died on September 13, 1996 even though he died at a young age he did a lot with his life. Growing up Tupac mother and some of his family were part of a group called Black Panther Party later their ideas became part of his songs and poems. Growing up and moving around New York as much as he did make him have a hard childhood. Tupac mother taught him about radical politics, other than that Tupac saw his mother struggle with substance abuse problem. Growing up was never easy for him he was shot 5 time during a mugging and the next year got sentenced to 4 and a half year for sexual assault. In the 80s Tupac and his family moved to California where he joined a hip-hop group and had a hit song. After their hit song Tupac decide to go solo where he did great. In 2010 he had sold over 75 million albums making him one of the best-selling rappers to ever have live. His songs and poems were about major topics not just nonsense, they were about violence and hardship in inner cities racism and other social problems. On September 7, 1996 he was shot many times by a drive by and ended up dying 6 days later, but he lived on thought his poems and music and people still can relate to the stuff he wrote.
Tupac Shakur was not just a famous rapper and actor but he was a well-known poet. It saying be strong and keep moving because tomorrow is another day to have a great day and not all days will be easy and great but you have to remember that every day is a new one to make it better. This poem is a stanza and the tone is mad but just by reading it anyone can understand why.
Even though all of these poems are about other topic and meaning different things they all have a strong meaning and even a stronger imagery. Not all poems from Tupac will be dark and depression some of them happy but the one thing you will have to remember that these poems and raps came from when he was growing up and he saw first-hand, he didn’t grow up in a good time there were a lot hate and bad times but he turned bad things into a career that really changed people live to even this day.
Conformity can be very crucial, infact a lot of people eventually start hurting themselves or doing drugs just because they don't feel themselves anymore.Why can't society change? why can't that one kid that always follows everyone in the back can turn into the kid that just hangs with the people they really wanna hang with?We need to embrace ourselves so we can stop all this conformity from consuming us.Tupac was a nonconformist, he always did what made him happy and always told the truth.

Tupac Amaru Shakur was born on June 16, 1971 in New York City to Afeni Shakur, a Black Panther member since 1968. She gave birth to him 2 months after she was released from Women’s House of Detentions in Grenwich Village. She was charged with conspiracy to bomb several New York public locations and just had her bail revoked. In court she represented herself and won against the state of New York in a surprising turn out. In Incan dialect, his name Tupac Amaru means “shining serpent” and Shakur is Arabic for “thankful to God.” For most of his childhood his crack addicted mother shuffled Tupac between the ghettos of Harlem and the Bronx. Young Tupac began his performance career with the 127th Street Ensemble and then enrolled Baltimore School for the Arts where he was educated in ballet and acting. Tupac was forced to drop out of the school because he had to move to California with his mother, where his criminal career began. He left his house at the age of 17 because of the continuous fights with his mother he then began selling/doing drugs, and was homeless for about 2 years. His life was spiraling down wards at a rapid rate. Till one day he got his big break. Tupac always dreamt about being famous someday, now his dream was becoming a reality. He struck a recording deal with Interscope records. He was on his way to super stardom, but as we all know with fame comes problems. He was involved in the shooting of two off duty police officers, although the chargers were later dropped. He was also convicted of rape, and sentenced to 5 years in Clinton Correctional Facilities.

One element that is different in each poem is theme. The main theme in A Rose That Grew from a Crack is strength and acceptance. Tupac uses his inner strength and learns to accept his differences. He takes a leap of faith and finds he "is proving nature wrong, it learned 2 walk without having feet." He then participated in acting and became a member of the 127th Street Ensemble which was a Harlem-based theater company. Later in his teens he attended Baltimore School for the Arts where he took acting and dance classes. He then discovered rap while living in Baltimore and was performing under the name MC New York. He then dropped out of school at 17 and moved to the west coast, which was California in the 1980’s. Some people don’t know where Tupac Shakur was born because he would always portray as being from California even though he was from New York.
