As a girl I grew up secluded. Being an only child I would often play by myself. I was wiser beyond my years, reading my mother’s books in our library. One book in particular caught my attention; (The Power of Birthdays, Stars & Numbers: The Complete Personology Reference Guide). This book told me everything I needed to understand my sun sign; Virgo. August 23-September 22 is the mark of the sun sign Virgo. I was born September 4th so I am a true Virgo. In the textbook, Virgos are analytical, observant, reliable, precise, skeptical, fussy and inflexible. The books say we are clean, tidy, and very organized. Timid, inverted, and sticks to a routine, they make Virgos sound dreary. These reputations are not concrete for every individual born under this sign. There are three main types of Virgos and two Virgo hybrids. The hybrids are the cusp of the Virgo sign; Leo-Virgo and Virgo-Libra. The three main types of Virgo are the, I’m better than everyone Virgo, the down to earth Virgo and the dreamer Virgo.
I’m better than everyone Virgo might be the first kind of Virgo you will ever encounter. They criticize everything and everyone, but they are harder on themselves. Some may say they do this because they are insecure, but that isn’t the case; they do it because they want to perfect everything around them. They tend to over think everything and can even tire themselves without even moving. They are usually hard to approach since they always have their arms crossed and their chin up high as if they are judging everyone, and they probably are. I met a lot of Virgos like this in my lifetime; they tend to nitpick everything, which makes them unpleasant to be around.

...hard-working, logical, shy, modest, insecure and devoted from their Virgo sign; and they are charming, romantic, aloof, easily influenced and indecisive from the side of Libra. They are attracted by things that are beautiful and are never satisfied. If they see any flaw they discard it right away. They are so into beauty that they lack emotion and intuition.
Whether you are a cusp, or any one of the three Virgos; you are loved by anyone who meets you. Being I’m better than everyone Virgo, or a down to earth one, or even the dreamer Virgo; we all have our positives and negatives. Just embrace who you are. I’m just giving a better comprehension of the astrological star sign Virgo. Discovering the sun stars helped me better understand myself. So if you meet a Virgo you’ll accept why they behave the way they do. Just say they can’t help it, they are a Virgo.
The lighthearted comedy pregnant was one of the most astounding earning movies in 2007 and The 40-Year-Old Virgin is a 2005 American rom-com is, around a moderately aged man's trip to at long last engage in sexual relations. There are numerous reasons why either film would be picked over the other including storyline, influence on the viewer, performers/on-screen characters, and the taste the viewer has with specific motion pictures. Another part of the choice is the measure of subjects a film has and their significance. The more subjects a motion picture frames the more a man can gain from taking a seat and viewing a movie.Andy Stitzer is a 40-year-old virgin who is automatically chaste. The Notebook is an incredible movie that tells the story about two characters falling in love, growing old, and eventually dying together. Noah and Allie meet when they are just teenagers, but fall in love instantly. They go their separate ways for a while, but they eventually find their way back to each other and end up getting married. As they grow older, Allie’s memory starts to deteriorate and she eventually cannot recall anything from her past and she is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Allie portrays Alzheimer’s correctly in the movie because she has difficulty remembering her past and the people in it and is also very forgetful, which correlate to the known symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease. Considering that studies have shown that individuals with Alzheimer’s tend to lose recent memories first and their long-term memory last, in the movie Allie most likely had the disease for quite some time since she could not remember her own husband. It becomes difficult for her to care for herself so Noah admits her into a nursing home. Noah tries every single day to make A...
The Stranger was originally written in French. When Stuart Gilbert translated the novel, he came across a small problem. “The title of Camus’ classic novel is difficult to render into English because the French word bears the connotations of both ‘stranger’ and ‘foreigner’ at the same time, and each of these concepts is at play in the novel.” (Mairowitz1) Finding the right translation was crucial because the title is symbolic. “The Stranger symbolizes the theme of the story.” (Mairowits1) Meusault is a stranger to society. “He is alienated by society because of his unique personality.” (Alley2)
If you could have done everything in a different way, what real difference would that make in the end? This novel shows a young man that gets caught up in a murder. Throughout, “The Stranger”, absurdism, modernism, and decisions helped with the development of this simple, yet profound novel.
Albert Camus states that “In our society any man who doesn’t cry at his mother’s funeral is liable to be condemned to death” (Camus, 18). In the book The Outsider, Meursault defies local convention by not showing the sadness that is expected of him at his mother’s funeral. Ultimately, his life is dependant on this very decision of whether or not to show emotion. In the society that Meursault lives in, one is expected to conform to their standards and social norms. Anyone who deviates from these norms is considered an outcast and destined to die at the hands of society. Meursault was expected to show outwards signs of grief whether it was real or not. Even if the grief is artificial, most people will play to the audience and show signs of grief to minimize the risk of losing their life. Meursault’s was conflicted between following society’s rules and being true to himself. The nurse at his mother's funeral warned him that “if yougo slowly, you risk getting sun-stroke. But if you go too fast, you perspire and then in the church you catch a chill. She was right. There was no way out” (Camus, 22). The nurse’s admonition is consistent with his internal struggle. To Meursault, walking too fast is similar to conforming to society and walking too slow means following his own path. There is no middle ground to the situation, no happy median and no suitable compromise. Meursault faces the challenge of whether or not to conform on three main levels; physical, emotional and spiritual. He has the constant battle between following his physical self; his id, and doing what is right. Meursault also has to decide whether or not to be true to his emotions and decide if lying during his trial is a suitable course of action. Finally h...
Recently, American Cinema has been the victim of countless horror movies that are aimed at the teen audiences and based on some type of urban legend. Films such as I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream, and The Blair Witch Project pollute numberless aisles of video rental stores. These films are badly conceived and produced; they fail to elicit any emotion resembling fear, doing a better job at causing a movie viewer to chuckle at the mediocrity of their inherent horror. The Ring is a screenplay by Ehren Kruger and directed by Gore Verbinski that is wonderfully more terrifying than other urban legend "horror" movies of recent production. The main character Rachel Keller (Naomi Watts) brings realism and dramatic quality to the film, while frightful, morbid images and a superior urban myth story serve to guarantee that this film will remain as a favorite amongst horror aficionados.
I spent a lot of time considering what movie I would watch to write this essay. I listed off the movies that I would like to watch again, and then I decided on The Notebook. I didn’t really think I could write about adolescence or children, so I thought that, maybe, I could write about the elderly. The love story that The Notebook tells is truly amazing. I love watching this movie, although I cry every time I watch it. The Notebook is about an elderly man that tells the story of his life with the one he loves the most, his wife. He is telling the story to his wife, who has Alzheimer’s Disease, which is a degenerative disease that affects a person’s memory. She has no recollection of him or their life together, or even her own children. She wrote the story of their love herself, so that when he read the story to her, she would come back to him. There are three things that I would like to discuss about this movie. First, I would like to discuss their stage of life and the theory that I believe describes their stage of life the best. Second, I would like to discuss Alzheimer’s DIsease and its affect on the main character who has it and her family. Third, I would like to discuss how at the end of the movie, they died together. I know it is a movie, but I do know that it is known that elderly people who have been together for a long time, usually die not to far apart from one another.
A Birth Chart and Interpretation or either a Horoscope and compatibility report cannot be accurate for everyone born under a specific Zodiac sign unless the Astrologer has accurate information about the time of birth, date of birth and place of birth. Place of residence is important in the casting of daily Horoscopes. Sometimes the time is not known and an Astrologer will use 12:01 P.M. which, while not as accurate as it should be, will put you as close to the target as possible. Without this information everything you read about your sign anywhere will be generalized information.
I know a fellow classmate who is almost equally Orange and Green, like me, but when we took the Strengths Quest Assessment, we didn’t share a single Top 5 trait! How can this be? Although I found True Colors accurate, I found Strengths Quest much more accurate. My top five themes from most to least are “Includer”, “Communication”, “Positivity”, “Woo”, and “Activator”. The overall description is the same, but I like how this one focuses on what makes us stand out. As an “Includer” I stand out because I can find something good in each person I meet, which makes me a very likeable person. I will befriend just about anyone who is in my life. Seems very “orange” to me. As a Communications major, I was glad to see Communication as my second trait. As a “Communicator” I am very loquacious or fond of talking, so fond that I am comfortable telling personal stories describing my experiences. Communications is very much a descriptor of both orange and green in the True Colors assessment. My third descriptor was positivity. This is absolutely an orange trait, and even a little blue. I am optimistic, and will have fun whether I win or lose a contest. I often keep my distance from “Debbie Downers”, or “Negative Nancys”, (or the male versions), and although I open myself to a wide range of people, I try to be around more optimistic people. Woo! I thought that was a hilarious abbreviation for my next descriptor. WOO means to Win Others Over. I want people to like me. I am very sociable, friendly, and interested in people. I can easily go from group to group, and people appreciate my unreserved, gregarious, and friendly nature. This is very “blue” and “orange”

Both positive and negative traits under each animal are unique to that person. Each sign also has other things that make them lucky but not determining to the personality, they are based on the outer animal also. For the rabbit my lucky numbers include 3, 4, and 6 and the lucky numbers include pink, red, purple, and blue. (Kelly, 2017) In addition to those the rabbit also has lucky direction and lucky flowers. (Kelly, 2017) Not all the ones in my three signs fit me, but a small percent of them do. They may not all be qualities people aspire to have but most of the time we are not always the people we wish we could
The stranger by Albert Camus is a novel that illuminates absurdism in the 19th century. Through the main character Meursault, the author enforced the idea that there is no purpose or importance in all the living things around him or even relatives. Due to his unreasonable action at the beach, he became "exile" from society, and was punish to death sentence. Even before he committed his murder he was not a people person at all, he would not talk about his emotions or even show them. Taking this into consideration, Meursault basically "exile" himself away from society, due to his isolation from normal person's affections; however, his experienced in jail made him realized many things.
