Suicide is a critical social problem in this day and age. According to Kutcher and Magdalena (2008), one of the top three causes of death among people from 15 to 34 years old is suicide. In America, suicide is the third killer to the high school youths between the age of 15 to 19 (Lieberman & Cowan, 2011). Suicide defined as a person who end the life in the way of purposely instantly, and deliriously which consider to be self-inflicted death (Comer, 2004). In general, there are six factors that cause teenagers involve in suicide that are depressed, family factor, a trend toward the youth, effect of parental suicide, bullying, and impulsive behavior (refer to Figure 1 in Appendix 1). Firstly, the factor which could lead youth to suicide is depression, which is the major cause of suicide (Suicide Prevention Resource Center, 2011). Depression can be classified as a mood disorder in medical field. According to Cutler, Glaeser, & Norberg (2001), depression can occur in two main facts, that are the variable feeling of people and the financial sources problem, which could classified as the origin of depression. According to (Cutler et al., 2001), youth who commit suicide are intended to indicate the others that they are frustrate, or worse is aim to punish others for their unhappiness. In this sense, youths are more emotional compared to others and easy to stick in negative thinking of youths would drive them to higher risk of suicide. On the other hand, the youth does not have an independent financial source. Most of them are getting money from their parents or student loans. In the situation, youths are still at the point in life where their consumption exceeds their net income (Cutler et al., 2001). LGBT youth has two to four times higher rate of suicide than to the others heterosexual youth (Suicide Prevention Resource Center, 2008). The next reason is impulsive behavior. According to Marcovitz (2010), people who commit suicide are also probable abusing drugs and alcohol. People just involve themselves drunk before making the choice to commit suicide. The alcohol promotes impulsive behavior, which helps the drinker make the final decision to commit suicide (Marcovitz, 2010). Drug abuse also one of the causes promote the outcome of committing suicide. People frequently abuse drugs to seek liberation from suffering and evade of difficulties. Similar to alcohol, drugs has the same effect like alcohol to promote impulsive behavior.
