Recommended: The notion of trinity
Second part of the class, we learned about the Triunity of God. Trinity is not easy to believe, describe and to understand. With human thinking, we are incapable of fully understanding the triune nature of the infinite God. We cannot comprehend the power, love, and holiness that is present in such a being. However, God does want us to know of its existence though, and include many truths about the Trinity in Scripture.
Bible does not have the word Trinity and it does not provide a clear definintion of it. However, the Trinity is one of the most important and key beliefs in our faith. Now, the question we have to ask is, “Is the doctrine of the Trinity really biblical?” Even though we can never fully comprehend the Trinity, scripture help us to understand better. Knowing the doctrine of the Trinity and its biblical basis in the old and new testaments is very important. Biblical evidence supports the Trinity and teaches us that there is one God who exists eternally in three People. The Bible does provide us, with all the component parts of the doctrine. We are made to confess the Trinity as a truly biblical doctrine.
In the Old Testament everything is scarttered and it is hard to explain the exact meaning of the word trinity. However, in the Old Testament, they set up the idea of the trinity. God is the creator of this universe and he created this world by speaking his word and sending out his spirtit. Bavinck wrote that God’s “word” is the objective principle of creation and his “spirit” is the subjective principle. According to him, the world came into being by threefold causes, the word of God, word hypostatized as wisdom and the spirit of God. In other word, the Old Testament refers to God's word, his spirit, and Wisdom. This t...

...one divine being. The Bible teaches us that the Father is God, the Son is God and the Holy Spirit is God. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three persons. All three persons possessed the qualities and prerogatives of deity.
In conclusion, the doctrine of the Trinity is completely and totally biblical. The Trinity can be summarized under three essential statements. That God is three persons, each person is fully God and there is one God. Knowing the biblical doctrine of the Trinity will enable us to know, and worship God more fully. Through the doctrine of the Trinity, we will be able to understand the salvation. Knowing the doctrine of the Trinity and its biblical basis in the Old and New Testaments is very important because it will shape how we view Jesus and how we imitate God. Knowing the doctrine of the Trinity will help us to share the gospel in a right way.
Naomi Nye was born to a German-American mother and a Palestinian-American father. However, she normally writes from her Palestinian-Arab perspective. In several of her poems within The Heath Anthology—“Ducks,” “My Father and the Figtree,” and “Where the Soft Air Lives”—Naomi Nye reminisces about her Muslim heritage and childhood as it correlates to her present identity. In addition, she incorporates the effect of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on herself and on Arab culture in her work. Ultimately, Naomi Nye’s poetic work should remain in The Heath Anthology as her style demonstrates how historical events and a deep-rooted heritage can enrich a sense of identity and culture.
...nity. The Holy Spirit allows human beings to become closer to God, and the relationship between the Father and the Son. After writing about both the Trinity and Salvation, I have learned that they are immensely interconnected. The Trinity allows human beings to find Salvation. All in all, the Trinity is not three separate parts, but one part with three different essences.
The Bible never makes of the specific reference of the trinity, the Bible does talk about the divine existence of each of the three members of the Trinity, God (The Father), The Son (Jesus Christ), and the Spirit (The Holy Spirit). It is still a complex idea for me to understand fully but scripture does indeed tell of the work and existence of the trinity.
In the book “To Live” the lamb is the manifestation of the kindness and innocence of Youqing and also an attack on communism in the novel. The sheep appear three times in the novel. It appears when they are a peasant, during the great leap forward and the slaughterhouse. Yu Hua contrasts communism and the relationship between Youqing and the lambs to illustrate the affectionate and emotional moments of the story. In the novel there are three events that are really striking; they are the great leap forward, the great famine and the Cultural Revolution. These events are developed to illustrate the cruelty of communism.
The trinity is perhaps one of the more complicated, and possibly confusing, doctrines found in Scripture concerning Deity (the Godhead). It is a doctrine that is fully embraced by some who claim to be Christians, while others deny it whole heartedly. Islam, which claims to worship Yahweh (they do not), vehemently denies the idea of the trinity; they claim that to believe such is to embrace polytheism (the belief in multiple gods). With much confusion in the religious world regarding this matter, it is important to look to the Bible, which is the source of truth (John 17:17), to find what the truth is regarding the trinity.
Nowadays, majority of Christians believe in Trinity, (God’s three forms of Father, Son, Holy Ghost). Christianity adopted the idea of Trinity until the Council of Nicea in 325 AD. Even now Christian Unitarian churches are there who do not admit Trinity. Distinguished Rationalist Unitarians entail thinkers like Ralph Waldo Emerson, Charles Dickens in literature, scientists like Isaac Newton, Frank Lloyd Wright in architecture and famous figures like Florence Nightingale in humanitarianism and
Recent events in Canadian politics have shocked the artistic sector in Canada. The conservative party of Stephen Harper attacked the arts and culture sector by cutting funds to some major art programs in the country. Art has played an important role in the development of societies around the world. Everything from social structure and religion to politics and military was reflected in various forms of art; from painting and sculpture to theatre and dance. Ancient Egyptians build pyramids and had symbolic depictions of deities. Ancient Greeks, the fathers of democracy, were the masters of pottery, sculpture as well as architecture and painting. In ancient times art was not isolated from science, philosophy and of course politics. Everyday political, social, military and economical affairs were reflected in the arts, and vice versa. Artists were the thinkers, and thought provokers of the culture. In the Renaissance artists were synonymous with progress, invention and liberalism. They were the builders and reinforcers of cultural value and tradition. Modern day is seeing a variety of art forms that reveal the culture that art is produced within. Canada is a country rich in history, traditions and multiculturalism. It is important to sustain and develop the art sector in Canada in order to maintain and “voice” Canadian culture and identity. Moreover, the art industry in Canada not only improves the cultural fabric of the country, it also showing significant revenue to the government. The Harper Government funding cuts to the arts and culture sector is an unjustified act of censorship. Underfunding of Arts in Canada will hinder the development of values and unity in Canadian culture and Identity as well as hinder freedom of exp...
In Christianity one of their primary beliefs is the idea of a Triune God, which means the belief of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as one entity not three separate beings. This would result in God being indivisible and could not be divided into three different parts for an ...
The Trinity is made up of God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This concept is what many Catholics believe in, but other worldwide religions believe in other beliefs. Out of all the three Divine Persons, “Jesus is the most qualified to bring the renewal of creation because it was through him that creation came into being” (Pohle February 7th). We as humans will have to face the consequences for actions that we have done in the past, present and future. Jesus has come into the world as a human to show his dignity and save us from sin; he was the world and of all creation. As we come to read more about Jesus we get to know Jesus more, we learn about what he did, how he did it and why he had to do these saving actions.
The doctrine of the Trinity, as seen in the Christian bible, is primary to the Christian faith. The word “Trinity” does not actually appear in the bible; it is a theological label meant to summarize certain teachings of certain passages of scripture, and is crucial to properly understand what God is like, how He relates to us, and how we relate to Him. It may also raise many difficult questions including what does it mean that God is a Trinity? While it is difficult for us to fully understand everything about the trinity, it is quite possible to answer questions like this one and come to a solid grasp of what it means for God to be three in one.
The conception of God in Christianity, Judaism, and Islam is monotheism, the belief in the existence of a single indivisible God. The three of religions maintains that there is only one God, who is active in and concerned about the world. These religions are also patriarchal, male-dominated, which has resulted in God being described as “He.” However, how Christians, Judaism and Islam conceptualize God in their respective theologies is actually quite different. In Christianity, God is the supreme creator and ruler of the universe. Christians believe God is infinite, omnipotent, all-powerful, perfect, personal, eternal, unchanging, holy, all-knowing, and all-loving. Their idea of God is shown in the belief of the Trinity. God is one, but with three aspects: God is Father, the creator, ruler, and sustainer of all life, and divine judge; God is the Son, who is Jesus, God made incarnate and savior of humanity; and the Holy Spirit, who is God working in the world. Both Muslims and Christians love and respect Jesus, however, the major difference between Islam and Christianity is the Christians insistence on the supposed divinity of Christ. In Christian scriptures, God never claimed divinity while the emphasis in the Islamic theology of God is “absolute unity;” God is sublimely one. Muslims think that by believing in the Trinity, Christians believe in three Gods. For them, God is One God. Judaism views the existence of God as a necessary prerequisite for the existence of the universe, and the existence of the universe is sufficient proof of the existence of God.
The Bible teaches the truth of this doctrine, having faith in the Word of God means all the difference when believing in the three divine persons. Although many can argue that this conception alters or limits our overall vision and understanding of the Lord, it is imperative to make known that the Lord would not be who he is, if it were not for the various aspects of the Trinity and the essence that is associated with
As I spoke to different people regarding Trinity the majority knew who God was but did not fully understand the fullness of God. Understanding the Trinity as God the father, the son and the Holy Spirit comes with a willingness for one to come to know Him but also comes as a gift from God for He allows us to know him as well. As it is stated in 1 Corinthians 2:10, “but it is to us that God revealed these things by His Spirit” (NLT). Even with God’s will to reveal himself to people, one needs a certain level of faith. As stated by McGrath one aspect of faith is, “the idea of trusting God” (2012). For some God’s existence needs to be proved for one to believe, whereas there are some who just believe because He is God. That could be the reason why some may have a certain level of knowledge regarding the Trinity due to their lack of faith in a God who they barely know personally.
In John 10:30 Jesus says; “I and the Father are One.” By this, He meant that He and God were the same. For example, God and the Son of God both created everything (1 Corinthians 8:6) (Morgan, 211–212). The Holy Spirit is also God too, as one can read in 1 John 5:7–8: “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” This Holy Divinity is called the Trinity- a group of three, as One. “In the name of the Trinity the living God is revealed” (Robinson, 187) This Trinity is God, the Father, God, the Son, and God, the Holy Spirit. “The Triune God is an all-sufficient God, all-sufficient for Himself and all-sufficient for His people” (Robinson,
I am a Christian and I believe in the Holy trinity: God, the Son, the Holy Spirit.
