The Cons of Social Media

Social Networking is one of the things we use in the world. It is easy to access, from computer to smart phones. Anyone can have one and they change their whole identity to anyone. Social networking could make us more far apart from our friends and family. Most friends that you have on social media are acquaintances. Social networking is making us talk less in reality, steals our time, make us have less true friends, can cause harm hate and make us false as a person.
Social media is making people talk less in real life and steals our time in the out-world.it takes away face to face conversation in reality. Teitel claims that in takes time away from friends and family. Teitel quotes “An earlier study from the same research found that a decreased in communication with friends and family” it can lead to less communication with a hole in face to face socializing. Also it can lead to depression, Simpson claims that “Facebook communication can motivate loneliness no self-esteem and depression” the reason I believe this could be true is that you can be lonely in social media because you have no one around to talk to and can lead to depression. As result to all of this it is clearly social makes we talk less.
Our time is being taken away by social media. Most Americans are losing time by social media. Michael Williams claims “Almost a quarter of Americans say out on an important life moment due to social media” Williams shows that our time is being taken away and losing life events. Williams also talks about how it takes our outdoor life. “Some get so caught up in social Networking; it causes users to spend less time outdoors and less active” we are losing our time and spend it behind a screen. Richards points out that “Social networking sited users are vulnerable to security attacks such as hacking identity theft and viruses” people could hack your account and put false information and steal it. There is no possible to avoid these actions that other people do but the only way is that not having one at all.
In conclusion to all of this is social networking is make us talk les, have less true friends on the internet, and is making us false. There are also benefits about social networking like having access to talk to friends and family from far places. You can share your opinions in group chats and you can make plans with friends. Social media might not be all that safe but you sure can communicate with other people
