Recommended: Using personal values at work negative impacts

I have a few personal core values that I have stayed with me so far throughout my life. Some core values of mine are patience, listening, kindness, giving, and having passion. Patience is important to me because a lot of times in life things won’t happen as quickly as we would like them to happen, so patience can make the waits a bit more bearable. Listening is also important to me because it can help you relate to another person and also help you learn new things. Kindness is important to me because you never know if someone is having a really bad day, and a simple act of kindness can turn that day around for a person. Giving is also important to me because a lot of time people don’t consider how fortunate they are, through giving you can use some of your blessings and help another person out in need. Some more core values of mine are teamwork, compassion, cleanliness, family, persistence, stability, positive attitude, punctuality and determination. It is important to enjoy teamwork because that can help make certain jobs less of a burden. Having compassion for others is important because you can learn new things from others and possibly get a different view on things. Cleanliness is important to me because It keeps my body healthy and fresh of foul odors. Family is a big one for me because they are what can usually always come back to for support and help with things in life. . Persistence is a great core value to have because usually when things start to get difficult some people tend to just give up. Being persistence allows you to force yourself through the difficult work and stay dedicated. Stability is a great value to have because without stability you will find life to be a lot harder to survive in. Positive attitu... ... middle of paper ... ... standards. You need to always remember to have integrity while you are working in the social work field. Integrity also covers some of my personal values like kindness, giving, and teamwork. Having integrity under social work means treated all people with respect and also being kind to the people. Giving is also goes with integrity in the social work field because you are giving a service up for the people to help better themselves. Teamwork also is important in integrity, when you feel that you cannot properly serve someone who needs help you should probably call another social worker that may be able to help your client. The last value for social work is competence. This is to constantly be trying to increase their knowledge in the social work field so they can apply the new insight to their job. This would tie into my core values of persistence and passion
